Your Excellencies,
I extend my warmest greetings on behalf of the Government and People of the Portuguese Republic. I write to follow up on the proposed agreement discussed between our two nations, the details of which were previously exchanged and can be found in the correspondence archived here: For your convenience, the prior messages have been forwarded to your Ministry for review and reference. It is my understanding that the proposal, while agreed upon in principle, was never formally signed. As we continue to strengthen our diplomatic and economic relations, I would like to confirm whether Your Excellencies still intend to proceed with the signing of the agreement in its current form, or if you would prefer to renegotiate certain elements in light of present circumstances.
The Government of Portugal remains committed to fostering a constructive and mutually beneficial partnership with the Celestial Empire. We await your esteemed guidance on the next steps so that our teams may coordinate accordingly.
