To: Darragh Connolly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, The Kingdom of Ireland Titusk

Your Excellency,

I extend my hand in friendship and propose the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between our two nations. The historical ties and shared values between Portugal and Ireland lay a strong foundation for a collaborative and fruitful partnership.

In light of the current global challenges, it is imperative that nations with shared interests and mutual respect work together to foster peace, stability, and prosperity. Portugal is currently at the forefront of sponsoring a resolution within the Global Assembly that aims to address the complex and pressing crisis in Syria. We believe that Ireland's support for this resolution would not only amplify its impact but also demonstrate our collective commitment to international peace and security. Your nation's endorsement would be a testament to the strength of our partnership and our shared dedication to humanitarian principles.

Furthermore, I am eager to propose a cooperation protocol that focuses on the Atlantic region, an area of strategic importance to both our nations. This protocol would serve as a framework for collaboration on critical issues such as maritime traffic management and the combating of drug trade. By pooling our resources and expertise, we can enhance the safety and security of the Atlantic region, ensuring the well-being of our citizens and the protection of our shared maritime interests.

In addition to these immediate concerns, Portugal is keen to engage in a dialogue with Ireland on the broader geopolitical landscape. Your insights and perspectives on the current state of affairs in Europe and the world are highly valued, and I am confident that our exchanges will be mutually enriching. This dialogue will not only deepen our understanding of each other's positions but also open new avenues for cooperation on a wide range of global issues.

I am genuinely excited about the potential for a strong and dynamic partnership between Portugal and Ireland. I am confident that, by working together, we can make significant strides in advancing our shared goals and contributing positively to the international community.

Thank you for considering this proposal. I look forward to your positive response and to the opportunity to work closely with you and your team. Please feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions on how we can best move forward with these initiatives.

With warm regards and the highest consideration,

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Portugal

From: Darragh Connolly, Head Minister of the Office of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Ireland

Honorable Minister Luis Amado,

It is my great pleasure to respond to your message at the approval of His Majesty Cormac I. The Kingdom of Ireland welcomes your proposal with interest and respect. His Majesty has declared it the will of the Crown to renew and deepen diplomatic ties, especially with nations of Christian tradition and mutual dignity.
We agree to your offer of formal diplomatic relations and would be pleased to arrange an official meeting. With your permission, we propose to host this first exchange at the office of our Ambassador to Portugal, Cillian Barron, in Lisbon.
The matters you raised—the resolution on Syria, Atlantic cooperation, and the wider geopolitical picture—are of great interest to us. We are currently preparing our own proposals concerning multilateral cooperation in the Global Assembly, and would welcome Portuguese input and partnership in shaping their direction.

In the name of Christ and His Majesty King Cormac I of the Kingdom of Ireland, I look forward to your reply and the beginning of a strong and fruitful relationship

The morning sun cast a gentle light over the historic streets of Lisbon as the motorcade of the Secretary of State for the Minister Foreign Affairs of Portugal navigated through the city. The destination was the distinguished office of the Irish Ambassador to Portugal, Cillian Barron, situated in one of Lisbon's most esteemed diplomatic districts.

As the motorcade came to a halt, the Secretary of State, Carlos Silva, accompanied by a small delegation of senior advisors, stepped out of the vehicle. The Irish flag fluttered gracefully beside the Portuguese flag at the entrance, symbolizing the new chapter in diplomatic relations between the two nations. He would wait to the ushered inside.
