What kind of Africa do you want your children to live in? Do you want an Africa that is torn apart by evils of war, racial hatred, and poverty in which future generations will wither away from the vine because of today's failures? Or do you want an Africa that can stand on it's own two feet with a respect for diversity, human rights, and justice while being self sufficient? These are the questions that we must answer lest they answer themselves.

The Rhodesian government has purposed the establishment of an African treaty organization modelled loosely on the already existing European Treaty Organization which will represent our interests to the international community. Statesmen wishing to participate are encouraged to contact me as soon as possible to determine a meeting place should all agree to establish said organization.

Before providing a formal response to whether the United Republic of Tanzania would agree to be part of the proposed African Treaty Organisation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation would request the detailed terms of such organisation and what role would it take in African and global affairs. Tanzania would be open to a summit beforehand to discuss the proposed African Treaty Organisation. We will not guarentee Tanzania's membership and would only consider participating if we fully agree on the terms.
