Greetings on behalf the Republic of Ireland. We would like to formally invite the Ambassador of Russia to Dublin to inspect a building we have set aside to be as an Embassy for the Russia. We hope to establish a good relationship and strengthen the European Sphere of Influence. I hope we can have a long lasting friendship and work alongside each other for years to come.

This is most acceptable, we have an Embassy building ready for your diplomats arrival at 186 Orwell Rd, Rathmines Little, Dublin, Ireland. We will dispatch a Diplomat to Moscow in two days as well as long as this is acceptable. I also recommend sending a security detail with your Diplomat as the situation in Ireland is tense at the moment. If you have any security questions feel free to contact our Ministry of Defence.

What size may our security detail be?
Also, we here is Russia would like to participate in the "celtic tiger" as it is called with direct investments. We would like permission from your government to be able to make said investments. Not just on a private level mind you. We are interested in developing a port, increasing it's size and such in exchange for use of said port.

Hello, this is Minister Spring from our Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. I regret to inform you but Pat Rabbitte has passed away. I have been forwarded all emails.

As for the size of your security detail we allow 22 armed personnel at embassies. All weapons must be registered at Customs and we do not allow Automatic Weapons.

We are open to the idea of Russia opening a port here in Ireland, however will this port be commercial or for military uses? If we can get more information about the idea of this port we may be able to come to some terms.

Dick Spring, TD,

My condolences.

For the security detail would it be alright to outfit them with the SKS rifle. It meets your requirements, and we have a stockpile of them we can use. Also, this reminds me. Both of our nations have issues in regards to terrorism or militants. Perhaps we could arrange a joint small scale training exercise involving the Army Ranger Wing and one of our Spetsnaz Groups?

The port would be mainly for commercial use. However, we would like to be able to base a small detail there for security. Just some destroyers and frigates, nothing larger. Would that be acceptable?

SKS rifles are fine, however the weapons would not be aloud outside the embassy. As long as they remain indoors there won't be any issues.

As far as joint training I am not well advised on military details however I have attached Seán Barrett who is our Minister of Defence. I'm sure he would know a lot more on these matters.

Lastly in order for Russia to operate a port out of Ireland for either commercial, military or both we would have to hold it to a vote within our Senate. I can not guarantee it to pass. We will let you know when the vote has been cast.

Can the rifles be visible from inside the compound?

Also, let me know whether or not the measure passes.

For the training exercise could you let the MOD know that we wish to have the exercise happen within the Russian Federation?

Yes, as long as you are still on the premises of the embassy the rifles may be visible from inside and outside the compound.

With the passing of Proposal ROI006 and the SOFA between our nations a training exercise can commence whenever Russia would like one to take place.

Also in regards to Proposal ROI006, 2 docks have been made to have exclusive access to the Russian Federation at the Port of Cork for Commercial means. Additionally we currently have 16 docks at our Naval Station located just outside of Cork. We currently have 10 of these docks in use and have 2 on reserve for future vessels. Russia may access the remaining 4 docks if they wish but must adhere to the SOFA.

Salutations,

This is very good. For the training exercise we would like to schedule something involving the Naval brigade we are going to have stationed at the Base. Something small scale. Perhaps a urban exercise would be a good start? I am no expert of course but I do know that Urban warfare is an important aspect.

Well this is very good news, from my understanding we have 14 of our 16 Infantry Battalions trained in Urban Warfare. As far as our Naval Services go, we host 8 Ships, 3 Frigates, 2 Corvettes, and 3 Offshore Patrol Vessels. However we have 1 Offshore Patrol Vessel currently escorting Argentine Ships from Cork to Dublin and is expected to be back at Base within the week. We have 3 training locations on land in Ireland, each with different terrain and training. We can host out of 2 of these training locations. Finner Camp, near Ballyshannon and Bundoran or Gormanston Camp, near Drogheda, and a few hours north of Dublin. Finner Camp offers vast terrain, such as Mountain, Open Fields, and Mock Urban Cities. While Gormanston Camp offers Beach Landings, Open Field and Mock Urban Cities."

Greetings,

Can we schedule it to occur at Gormanston Camp? As it would be an excellent use of our Naval Infantry. What date can we send over a military rep to do the planning for this? We are going to want to be able to survey the location ahead of time. We will need to make sure it is suitable for our models of landing craft.

Attachments: Gormanston Camp

Of course, I'll attach the Minister for Defence into this email so that he may read this and better quadrate with you.

Gormanston Camp will be scheduled at a convenient date for your armed forces. You may send a military rep at your earliest convenience. They will have all the time they need to Survey to training site prior to any exercise/joint training. I sent an attachment of the Training Location.

Greetings,

We would very much like an in person meeting. However, I am currently overbooked. Would a meeting with our ambassador be sufficient?

This is perfectly acceptable, I will meet with you Ambassador in Dublin to discuss the details.

The front desk of the embassy would ask for identification and for them to sign a check in book for them. As they did that the receptionist would call in and once all that was done they would be directed to the Ambassadors office. Ambassador Yury Filatov would be waiting for the Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs there."Welcome. Please have a seat. There is much to discuss."

Mr. Spring would shake Ambassador Filatov's hand and take a seat.

"Thank you for having me. I wanted to discuss the possibilities of a Non-Aggression Pact between Ireland and Russia, as well as formalize the relationship between Russia and Ireland. I feel our two countries have gotten pretty close in the last few months, and Ireland would like to continue this friendship and expand on it."
