YUGOIMPORT is a state-owned corporation owned by the Serbian government. It traces it's history to socialist Yugoslavia when it served as a front corporation for importing and exporting arms and weapons as well as civilian goods to and from Yugoslavia. Serbia's defence industry has fully been merged into this corporation and, including all independent factories, workshops and assembly lines it is a by-word for the Serbian government's monopoly on all defense-related commerce. The 1999 Q1 defence review conducted by the state officially created YUGOIMPORT and merged all of its defense industries into it. Presented here is an official list of all items pertaining to what is refered to as the land-based or ground-based products. To inquire about air and air-defence technology, refer to YUGOIMPORT with a separate inquiry. Reminder, this is not a definite list, the year 2000 shall see a revised list pending defense authorities decision.
