[State of Israel] Reviving the Special Relationship

While Israel was surrounded by enemies, ever since 1948 it had always been able to rely on at least one country through thick and thin. While said country may have been on the other side of the world, it always made up for the distance with the sheer level of commitment. While these ties had been allowed to cool thanks to recent administrations, Chloe was hopeful that there perhaps still was a way to restore these to their original height or something close to it. As such she herself would send a message to the Acting President of the United States of America.

Subject: Reviving the Special Relationship

Message:

Mister President,

Throughout post-World War 2 history the State of Israel has always been able to rely on a decent number of allies but no state has ever been a better ally than the United States. While this relationship has unfortunately not had the respect it deserves in recent years, my new administration seeks to revitalize old friendships and give them new life.

As a result I would like to formally invite you or a member of your government to meet with myself in Jerusalem or I could meet you or a member in your government in Washington, D.C. If you share our interest in reviving this Special Relationship I hope you will accept this invitation.

Sincerely,
Chloe Weiss,
President

OFFICE OF
THE SECRETARY OF STATE

ENCRYPTED MESSAGE

TO: Chloe Weiss, President of The State of Israel ( Judea )
FROM: Jackson Fitzgerald, Secretary of State of the United States of America

Madam President,

It is a true pleasure to receive a message from your office, and your government. President Gore has returned to the White House and is now recovered from the incident that occurred in November of last year. The United States is thankful for the prayers and warm wishes that were given to him, the First Family, and the American People during that difficult period in our history.

Your willingness to reestablish the special relationship between the State of Israel and the United States is bold and admirable. Unfortunately, the President is extremely busy in Washington and is unable to travel abroad to the Holy Lands at this time. However, I would be more than happy to lead discussions between our governments. I thought that, for now, it may be best for us to discuss the current situation between Israel and Palestine. I realize that Thailand (likely putting its nose where it does not belong) has caused and international incident. The State Department was hoping that your office could provide some clarification on this incident as well as your government's plans with Palestine. The United States is committed to the defense of the State of Israel and its continued existence. However, it would be in the best interest of everyone if bloodshed and war can be avoided, especially on such short notice when there are still many diplomatic avenues available.

I hope to hear back from you soon, and I wish you the best during these troubling times.

Best regards,

Jackson Fitzgerald
Secretary of State

Message:

Mister Secretary,

Thank you for your swift reply and I am glad to hear President Gore has returned to his office. We continue to pray for the well-being of him, the First Family, and the American people.

I understand perfectly that the President's agenda cannot fit in a formal state visit on such short notice, as President of a nation much less influential my agenda often keeps me busy so I can only imagine how bad it must be for a power with the prominence of the United States. In his place I am more than pleased to discuss these matters with yourself instead.

We value your continued commitment to our independence and right to exist, and we will gladly elaborate on our position. In part I would like to refer to our recent declaration for this, but additionally I would be happy to summarize our position.

The two-state solution was designed to bring about lasting peace in the Middle East, and on paper it was a great solution. Two states, one for the Jews and one for the Palestinians living in harmony with each other and sharing their religious capital. Reality however is that this turned into decades of warfare where thousands lost their life. My push to the presidency was all about changing this dynamic, instead we propose the Federal State Solution. While I will admit this is strongly modelled after your own country's system, we seek to establish a Federal Israel on the territories formerly known as Israel and Palestine. Under this Federal state regions such as Gaza, Judea, and Samaria will be given statehood. This leaves them in control over their internal matters, likewise the State of Israel is also split into multiple states. This is intended to balance the relative voting power of both the Jewish and Palestinian peoples to give each equal weight. We have already transformed Israel itself into this federal structure, but we do need the integration of Palestine for this to work. To achieve this the Knesset has passed a law that ends our recognition of the State of Palestine and calls for its integration by all means necessary.

While this does mean that in the worst case scenario integration is sought through military action, we would prefer to do so peacefully without any bloodshed. This is also why the IDF has not been mobilized and no concrete war preparations are taken, the situation simply isn't there yet.

The Republic of Thailand has taken our intent and twisted it into some perversion of the actual goal. I am not sure why specifically they did this, but I can only assume they seek to flex their recent status as a world power to push down on what they believe to be a weaker state. My administration has decided to simply ignore them going forward.

In conclusion, we want to bring true peace to the Holy Land and provide a state where everyone can live freely and enjoy their faith in peace. I should also add that we intend to establish a committee to which representatives of the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic faiths are invited to govern the Temple Mount and other locations that are highly prominent in all three religions. We also specifically intend to protect holy sites of all faiths and prevent transmigration as to no displace people from their homes.

Sincerely,
Chloe Weiss,
President
