An encrypted telephone call is made from the Swedish Department of Home Affairs to the equivalent cabinet office within Belgium.
The telephone call is placed by Secretary of Home Affairs, Gustaf Quist.
The subject matter is not disclosed to any switchboard or recipient until the telephone call is encrypted in Belgium to ensure end-to-end encryption status - in addition, to retain and ensure Swedish national security interests are met, the telephone call is recorded by the Swedish Security and Intelligence Community as standard however is not actively being listened to, observed or monitored. There are no other persons within the Secretary's office of which the door is closed within a government building to which the general public do not have access without authorisation.
