With no response within 24 hours a memorandum is sent to the judge dealing with the case and the decision is made for a final 12 hour delay to be issued on proceedings.
The judge recommends referral to the International Court of Justice should there be a failure to comply with the formal summons.

Argentina would politely remind Sweden that under international law, foreign officials and especially Heads of State cannot be judged by foreign law, as well as possesing diplomatic immunity while in office.

The Swedish Department of Justice submits a response and appreciates the input of the whole of Argentina however would like to clarify point of law:

Under international law diplomats are subject to diplomatic immunity within any "hosts" country. On the basis that the Brazilians have closed all formal diplomatic ties, Sweden does not host any Brazilian diplomats at this time, the case is related to threats of war and violence and various other subject matters - the subject of diplomatic immunity does not apply. It is also noted, although conveniently ignored, that the case will be referred on to the International Court of Justice in which the defendant will be able to represent their case themselves.

However, your opinion has be duly noted and in order to comply with Swedish law, as the defence you have provided, whether relevant or not, may undermine the prosecutions case it will be attached to further proceedings.

Another Brazilian spokesperson responds hold a press conference in a hotel in Brasilia regarding the Swedish, "Prosecution".

"For starters, a Brazilian spokesperson, not the President, made the comments about Australia. That's A-u-s-t-r-a-l-i-a, not Sweden. That is S-w-e-d-e-n. The comments were made while in Brazil and is not subject to any Swedish law.

That the Swedes named the President, a person who never even made the comments mentioned in the suit, instead of the spokesperson, just makes everything all the more ridiculous.

The President said nothing about Sweden at all. Furthermore, the Brazilian spokesperson also said nothing in regards to the government of Sweden. This whole thing is a farce.

This is the Brazilian government's final statement on this issue. We have better things to do."

Despite the confusion regarding the historic offence in which Brazil, alongside Argentina made the decision to attack Sweden following a Gripen sale dispute, the matter will be forwarded to the International Court of Justice.
