Government of Sweden
Reinfeldt Administration
To whom it may concern,
Nexus Defence is currently one of the largest defence conglomerates on the globe and as such opens the gate to a wealth of technology from industries across a variety of different continents, however predominantly in Europe. Sweden, formerly the home to companies such as Bofors and Hägglunds among others which were absorbed into BAE Systems AB has a strong part to play in your success. These organisations, working closely with the Defence Materiel Administration, developed world-leading technologies, vehicles and equipment which still rival modern developments today and remain a core competent to the Swedish Armed Forces.
The Department of Defence have identified a clear need to ensure our national security interests are future-proofed and prevent the commonplace appearance of sophisticated Swedish-born assets worldwide. A process we are hoping Nexus Group will play a key part in, with the development of Defence Asset Management Agreement (DAMA), an agreement which will not only ensure the longevity of Swedish technological advancement but also ensure Nexus Group are appropriate recompensed for any loss of earnings as a result.
As such I would like to invite you, and your team, to a video conference in order to property discuss an arrangement. Present at the meeting on our side with be representatives from the Defence Material Administration as well as advisors and representatives form the Department of Defence, Department of Finance and Department of Home Affairs.
I look forward to your timely response.
Regards,
Fredrik Åkesson
Director-General of the Defence Materiel Administration
