Subject: Diplomatic Communiqué to the Kingdom of Germany

Dear Minister von der Leyen,

I, on behalf of the United Republic of Tanzania, present my warmest compliments to the Kingdom of Germany.

In recognition of the deep historical ties that bind our two nations, we wish to reaffirm commitment to fostering a partnership with Germany. While mindful of our complex shared past, we believe our historical connection provides a unique foundation upon which to build a cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship.

In light of this, we would like to formally request the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two nations, with the opening of diplomatic missions in each of our respected capitals.

In addition to this, we would like to invite you, or your appointed representative, for discussions in Dar es Salaam at your earliest convenience. We would like to explore bilateral cooperation in fields relating to trade and investment, security and defence cooperation, and the movement of peoples. I am confident that an in-person dialogue will allow us to deepen our understanding, identify shared priorities, and chart a path forward in the spirit of partnership and mutual respect.
