Subject: Diplomatic Outreach

Dear Minister Dalavi,

On behalf of the United Republic of Tanzania, I would like to extend our warm congratulations to the Government of the Indian Socialist Republic on your successful formation of your new administration.

Tanzania and India share a history shaped by colonialism, anti-imperialist solidarity and championing democratic and socialist values in a region that previously lacked them.

Strengthening our shared interests and as neighbours on the Indian Ocean, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you, or your chosen representative, to Dodoma to engage in bilateral discussions. We would like to discuss the areas of trade, immigration, defence and security cooperation.

I look forward to strengthening Tanzanian-Indian cooperation.

Yours Sincerely,

Jata Azikiwe

Director for South Asian Affairs
United Republic of Tanzania

OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE

To: Jata Azikiwe, Director for South Asian Affairs, United Republic of Tanzania (Lunakz)
From: Sumati Dalavi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Indian Socialist Republic
Subject: RE: Diplomatic Outreach

Dear Director Azikiwe,

Thank you for your kind words, the transition in to office was not easy and left with a lot of pieces to pick up from the previous administration. However, we intend to right all wrongs and create a better nation for our people. The sentiments from your nation resonated with us and due to our two nations similar histories, the sentiments were more meaningful than most others would see.

Opening diplomatic dialogue between our nations, we feel would be mutually beneficial and would like to accept your invitation to visit Dodoma and discuss this further. It would be myself attending and I am available at your earliest convenience.

I sincerely look forward to meeting you, sampling your hospitality and learning more of your nation's rich culture.

Khushhaali ki kaamna,
Sincerely,

The Indian Delegation to Tanzania

The Indian delegation to the United Republic of Tanzania was that of a groundbreaking feat for the new administration as it marked the first diplomatic visit to a foreign nation. The delegation was to be led by Sumati Dalavi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, she would be accompanied by Jade Frazer, Minister of Culture and Tourism and Uma Padhi, Minister of Trade, alongside a small group of their staffing.

The delegation arrived at the private government hangar at the Indira Gandhi International Airport to depart for Dodoma imminently. Upon arrival they were greeted by Prime Minister Menon, who welcomed them with a warm smile and open arms. The Prime Minister wished to address the delegation prior to their departure and asked the delegation to gather closely.
“This is a momentous occasion for the Indian Socialist Republic, our first foreign diplomatic visit. You are my most trusted colleagues and friends, and I have no doubt you will create a positive and lasting first impression on your hosts. Safe travels, and enjoy your visit.”
The Prime Minister stepped aside and the delegation stepped aboard the Embraer Legacy 600, which was fuelled, supplied and ready for departure.

The Indian delegation to Dodoma has an uneventful, almost 14 hours flight. The flight mostly consisted of the delegation engaging in personal conversations, updating each other on life events and upcoming plans, getting much needed rest and finally just prior to landing they finalised their agendas for the upcoming talks prior to their touchdown at Dodoma Airport.
