To whom it may concern,

I, Commander Nattakit Nantapinij, respectfully open this encrypted and private line of communication channel between the Republic Thai Navy and the Gandhi Empire Navy as mandated by Article 3(2) of the Treaty of Amity between the Republic of Thailand and the Gandhi Empire. Additionally, as stipulated by Article 3(3), this communication will be always open, reliable, and encrypted.

Furthermore, I wish to convey newly declared policy that the seventh person who enter third ship that sailed into Thai Exclusive Economic Zone would be granted the life-long right to visit and use all cat cafes in Thailand.

Best Regards,

Commander Nattakit Nantapinij

Subject: Proposal for a Small-Scale Joint Anti-Submarine Exercise in the Andaman Sea
Security Type: NSST 1.0 Architecture | Secret and Encrypted

Commander Vikramaditya Malhotra,

The Republic Thai Navy respectfully submits for your consideration a proposal to conduct a small-scale joint anti-submarine exercise in the Andaman Sea, a region of shared maritime interest between our two nations. This initiative is grounded in the spirit of the Treaty of Amity between Thailand and India, which affirms our collective commitment to fostering peace, mutual prosperity, and regional stability.

Thailand views this proposal as a significant opportunity to inaugurate our first major military cooperation under the treaty framework, embodying our shared vision for enduring partnership and mutual respect. The Republic Thai Navy considers this exercise not merely a military undertaking but a collaborative effort to exchange expertise, strengthen interoperability, and reinforce the bonds of trust between our armed forces.

To demonstrate our commitment, Thailand is prepared to contribute three advanced maritime assets to this exercise. Specifically, the Republic Thai Navy will deploy one FREMM multipurpose frigate and two Rubis-class AMETHYSTE submarines from the Principal Maritime Group One (PMG1). We cordially invite the Gandhi Indian Navy to participate with complementary forces commensurate with the scope of this joint endeavor.

We remain confident that this initiative will serve as a cornerstone for deeper maritime cooperation and contribute significantly to the security and well-being of our peoples and the global community.

Best Regards,

Commander Nattakit Nantapinij

Commander Nantapinij,

I apologise for the lack of response to your bi-lateral exercise proposal. I have spoken with my superiors, and they have approved a small-scale ASW exercise with the Republic Thai Navy.

Commander, Eastern Naval Command has approved for one or two Shivalik guided missile frigates (plus associated aviation assets) and one Sindhughosh submarine to participate in the exercise.

Thank you,

Commander Vikramaditya Malhotra,

Thank you for your message. I understand that various circumstances may have delayed your response to my proposal, and I appreciate your engagement on this matter.

The Republic Navy Headquarters has formally acknowledged Gandhi India’s agreement to participate in a small-scale joint anti-submarine exercise in the Andaman Sea. I will share detailed information regarding the exercise as soon as I receive the official written directive from my superiors.

Additionally, I wish to convey, on behalf of the Australian Armed Forces, an invitation for India to participate in Operation Gateway—a naval patrol initiative aimed at countering Islamic terrorist groups operating in Southeast Asia. At present, Thailand’s participatory democratic institutions are reviewing the Republic Navy’s recommendation to deploy eight offshore patrol vessels and provide routine replenishment support for the operation.

Thailand’s contributions are expected to cover strategic waterways, including the Malacca Strait, the Singapore Strait, the Celebes Sea, and the Sulu Sea, with operational extensions to the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea.

I look forward to your response and further collaboration on these initiatives.

Commander Nantapinij,

Thank you for your timely reply. I appreciate your understanding on the matter of my late response.

Thank you for word regarding the ASW exercise; I will wait for word from you regarding official details about the exercise.

The GIN would be honoured to join the Republic Thai Navy and Royal Australian Navy in Operation Gateway. Countering Islamist extremism and terrorism is the Indian Armed Force's main focus after the unfortunate events in London. I have been told that up to three frigates and destroyers, plus more corvettes and offshore patrol boats, could be assigned to the tri-national operation, however further communication with the RAN and RTN must occur.

Thank you,

Commander Vikramaditya Malhotra
