Minister Moreau,
I hope that the recent upheaval in Paris will be soon resolved and that all the innocent lives lost are honored and well-preserved.
I am representing the Ministry of Defense of Thailand and the Republic Thai Navy, on behalf of the Republic Thai Government. We are seeking a collaboration with the French Government and its company to upgrade the existing Thai Navy Chakri Narubet-class light aircraft carrier. The carriers themselves are already outfitted with 3 × sextuple Sadral launchers for Mistral surface-to-air missiles each. The Thai Navy is interesting in increasing and enhancing this number to be 9 sextuple Sedral launchers. This means that we are looking to further enhance the self-defense capability of our carriers from equipping with 18 Mistral SAM missiles to 54 Mistral SAM missiles.
The Thai Government and its Armed Forces consider the French nation and her people to be a partner of our nation, and we expect that we can agree to further enhancing the defense capacities of our militaries. Thailand is willing to enter into a negotiation with your government to ensure the seamless discussion where both sides gain mutually benefits.
