To the External Affairs Department of India,
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Thailand extends its warm greetings to the External Affairs Department of the Gandhi Empire and affirms its commitment to upholding the Treaty of Amity between the Republic of Thailand and the Gandhi Empire, with particular respect to Article 5(2).
In recognizing the importance of our longstanding, constructive, cross-ideological relationship grounded in the principles of peaceful conflict resolution through respectful dialogue, we bring to the Government of India’s attention that an Indian military aircraft recently entered Thai territorial airspace briefly, for under 35 seconds. Thailand acknowledges that, regrettably, this incident may reflect an opportunity for both parties to enhance our protocols to ensure smooth and mutually respectful coordination. Thailand has taken careful note of this event and the need to fortify such mechanisms to prevent any future misunderstandings, particularly given our mutual commitment to upholding international standards.
Thailand values its partnership with India and is confident that this isolated occurrence does not reflect any broader intentions. To preserve the integrity of both nations' international standing, we propose a revision of the Treaty of Amity to include a dedicated provision on security cooperation, facilitating a transparent, official, and consistent liaison between our armed forces. Such cooperation would further our shared goal of maintaining an environment of respect and mutual security, reflecting the dedication to progress and international harmony that characterizes our bilateral relations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to reiterate that the Republic Government deems incident in no way suggests hostile intent on India’s part. We regard the Gandhi Empire’s diplomatic approach as notably progressive, evidencing a commitment to responsible and respectful statecraft. We trust that this spirit of mutual respect will continue to characterize our relations and contribute to a model of international engagement defined by cooperation and shared values.
We look forward to your considered response and are confident that this dialogue will further reinforce the strong and enduring partnership between Thailand and India
Sincerely,
Tongruedee Makbun
