Comrade Isabella Cattaneo,

It is with great pleasure that the Socialist Republic of Thailand, which is a confederation of 75,086 free communes, witnesses a European country choosing the path toward liberation through the election of a communist party. It is an era of renewed ideological struggle, and Thailand has been at the forefront of the global proletariat's quest for self-emancipation, as Karl Marx outlined in his work, The Civil War in France. Capitalism is collapsing due to its inherent contradictions, resulting in political, economic, cultural, and ecological crises. As communists, it is our historical role to overthrow such a blatantly inhumane and illogical system based on the free market, individualism, and commodity fetishism.

Today, I am proud to assert that Thailand is the most democratic, equal, and freedom-respecting nation on this dying planet. Why, you may ask. But I believe you already have the answer. When the people can self-govern themselves from the lowest possible level and when the state functions are hollowing out in favor of communal services, the proletariat can finally liberate itself from the state, capital, and ecological destruction. Of course, Thailand has not yet reached Communism, which is a global stateless, classless, moneyless, and emancipatory society. We need Italy’s assistance as we both seek to build a society where the full flourishing of humanity could be realized as theorized by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.

Therefore, I propose that Thailand’s Director-General of the Department of European Affairs travel to Italy to meet with a high-ranking official or diplomat from your nation. This bilateral summit, as we envisioned, is critical for how we can improve the living standard of everyone within our constructed borders, regardless of their nationalities or legal status, and strategize how we can support revolutionary movements in your continent and beyond. It is my utmost expectation that you will accept this proposal with great enthusiasm and hopeful cooperation. Unlike mistakes made by past state capitalist regimes branding themselves as socialist, Communism, as espoused by our belief in Marxism’s historical and dialectical materialism, is essentially an internationalist movement.

Yours in solidarity,

Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit

Dear Comrade Juangroongruangkit,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits.

I am honored to formally accept you or Thailand’s Director-General of the Department of European Affairs' official representative's gracious proposal to visit Italy at our esteemed Office of the Paramount Leader here in Rome. It is with great enthusiasm that I look forward to this opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and foster stronger bilateral relations between our nations.

The invitation is deeply appreciated, and we are eager to experience any trade discussions, economic opportunities, military deals, or any topics that promote better cooperation between our two states. We are also interested in highlighting many such topics regarding exporting or importing revolutionary ideas or movements to our population. For Italy, my Italy is surrounded by regressive nation states, and we shall not allow our people to go back to their old beliefs or have a false sense of quote and quote nostalgia. I believe this occasion will be an excellent platform for reinforcing our shared interests and exploring potential avenues for collaboration.

Please convey my sincere gratitude to your superiors for their role in extending this warm invitation. I am confident that this visit will contribute positively to strengthening the relationship between our two countries.

I look forward to meeting you or your representatives and other distinguished statesmen or women during the upcoming visit. We will prepare accommodations here as soon as possible.

Warm regards,
Isabella Catteneo
President of The People's Republic of Italy
Communist Party of Italy (PCI)

Thai Delegation to Italy

The election of the Communist Party of Italy marked a watershed moment in European politics. The collapse of the previous monarchies and reactionary regimes predicted the rise of the working-class movement that led to the victory of the only people-oriented political party in the country. As a transitional socialist republic, Thailand’s role in the global revolutionary movements is to practice proletarian internationalism. It is impossible to establish communism in just one country, let alone to expect an isolated European country to build socialism amidst a sea of imperialism.

Director-General Panthipha Iamsuttha Ekarohit of European Affairs would lead a high-level diplomatic delegation of around twenty members to Italy. They took a direct flight from Bangkok to Rome, flying for more than twelve hours before arriving in a newly established socialist state in Europe. The delegation arrived at the Leonardo da Vinci International Airport at around ten in the morning.

Upon arriving at Leonardo da Vinci International Airport, there was a buzz of activity as spectators gathered in droves to see the representatives from Thailand. It was the first time for them to see international delegations ever since "The Fall" and people were generally curious.

As the representatives and diplomatic entourage made their way through the airport, some were even shouting excitedly, "Ciao, da dove vieni?, compagno?"

As media and other spectators are slowly filling up the area. The representatives from Thailand mustn't be late for the meet and greet, so the local security and staff pushed their way and led them into their cars. They are now heading towards the venue.

An hour later. The convoy arrived. Many high-level business people and government officials were waiting to greet them as they disembarked. There was an official ceremony visit for the delegation, and many documents, including a letter of credence, were handed to the delegation as a symbolic act.

After the ceremony, the delegation went straight to the Office of the Paramount Leader, where they met with President Isabella Cattaneo and attended another symbolic ceremony.

As they were guided further through the Palace, there they saw many old paintings, paintings from legendary characters like Leonardo da Vinci and many other forms of art from the medieval ages to 18th-century Italy. They slowly took in the sights.

President Isabella suddenly said. "Ladies and Gentlemen, how's your trip so far? setting in nicely? As much as I want all of us to have a quick tour of my house," She laughed, "alas, our program will never finish, so let me lead you to your meeting place. My other officials are excited to meet you."

As they were about to enter the conference room, someone was waiting for them near the door.

"Esteemed guests. I will hand you over to my friend here, Comrade Medici. I assure you, what he says is also what I would say, so please, let's pour our thoughts out, and let this momentous occasion be as productive as possible for both parties. If you need me, I will be just outside the room."

After introducing himself, the official then shook hands with every member of the Thai delegation.

As all of the other remaining representatives entered the room and made their way to their assigned seats.

President Catteneo then politely led everyone to the conference room and left. The conference will now start.

The host led the opening and said, "Good morning, everyone!, Representatives from both governments of Italy and Thailand, party officials, our very own business delegation, and everyone here with us today, welcome! To those who might not know me. My name is Roberto Medici. I am a senior member of our nation's political party. I have been tasked to represent both the government of Italy and the Communist Party of Italy as a whole in these bilateral discussions with our newfound friends. Not to mention, this also comes with direct approval from the highest official of our state, the president herself, which means I will be your focal point today, alright?. Ladies and Gentlemen, shall we start?. Oh! We have coffee and tea by the way, so please, everyone, don't hesitate to ask."

The Thai delegation left their airplane upon confirmation by the Italian officials, and Director-General Panthipha would walk among her entourage as equals. Naturally, they would interact with local press and media while Thai photographers and videographers also performed their work. A member of the Thai delegation would return shouting at the crowd in a slightly accented Italian, saying, “Confederated Thailand, Socialist Republic.” They would follow the local authority’s lead toward the convoy and travel to the designated place. Many among the delegation would use their Thai-made smartphones or digital cameras to capture to essence of Rome and its authenticity while they were in cars.

Upon arriving at the government complex, a Thai diplomat would sneer in Thai to her comrades. “So many parasites! I am disgusted to be welcomed by these bourgeois. They should have been expropriated by the workers already.” The official welcoming ceremony would otherwise proceed with little disruption other than the consistent glare from the Thai side at Italian business owners. As they walked toward the office of the Italian Paramount Leader inside the Palace, a male logistical officer would remark grudgingly in Thai. “As much as this hall is beautiful and owes much to its history, a complete repurposing of it to be a space of public benefits would be more fitting. Who cares about opulence when you can improve the people’s living standard, which isn’t always influenced by aesthetics?” He sighed.

Director-General Panthipha would respond to Italian President Isabella’s remark. “I prefer substance over what respected Guy Debord would call this a Spectacle, Comrade Isabella. Regardless, what a luxury you call this home. Everyone in my delegation lives in public housing units or their parent' houses. It is a breathtaking sight. Let’s meet other officials. We are also excitedly dying to meet them.” The Thai delegation would enter the meeting room as guided by the Italian President, before she would introduce her side of the delegation. They would exchange handshakes amicably.

Panthipha smiled at Medici as he spoke before answering in a calm, personal tone. “Indeed, coffee and tea would be ideal for both sides. Regardless, I would prefer that much of this room, who are not the workers and is currently associated with owning the means of production to be expropriated. I see that the contradiction of capitalism is still profound in Italy.” She said it with the most neutral face of someone who didn’t care about the parasitic class. “And indeed, we are Italy’s newfound friend, given that we are both committed to the cause that both sides claimed to represent: Communism. It is our historical task to replace capitalism with a mode of production that truly enables a radically democratic, equal, free, and emancipatory society with no state, class, money, or oppression. It cannot happen at a local scale. It needs to be a global one.

Of course, and before we can proceed with any proposal of cooperation, I must reiterate that Thailand comes to this dialogue with a clear ideological goal of fostering international solidarity with our comrades in Italy. Unfortunately. I don’t see any workers’ representatives in this room. Instead, I see a bunch of ugly businesspeople who are nothing but parasites that extract surplus value from the hard work of laborers. This world is built by the workers and their blood through years of struggle against oppression. Unless this is an elaborate joke, it is a great way to make my side uncomfortable. However, I understand if the justification is that the Communist Party of Italy is managing a contradiction that is so characteristically profound of late-stage capitalism.” She paused momentarily to let the weight of her words sink in. Although normally diplomatic, Panthipha had always been the most ideologically vocal when she interacted with countries claiming to be ruled by communist regimes. She only had workers in mind.

“Therefore, what I want to know is the current political situation in Italy. What has happened since the Fall? What are the policies of the Italian Communist Party. Is there any challenges that might require external assistance from ideologically aligned states?”
