Dear Wallström,

The Republic of Thailand plans to evacuate our citizens from France as the situation continues devolving even though the protest in Paris is more stabilized. We are currently planning to dispatch ten Lockheed C-130 Hercules to an air base in France near Paris to transport our citizens to Sweden, our reliable partner. Despite a logistical challenge, we are in talks with the United Kingdom to ensure that our aircraft ferry flight is in range to make its way to France. We can't transport our civilians back home by ourselves. So, we are looking to rely on the Sweden International flight from Stockholm to Bangkok as a resource to bring them home. We want to request Sweden find an appropriate air base for our aircraft to land our citizens in Sweden along with a 30-days visa issuing for them when the time for evacuation arises.

Dear Ambassador Kanchana Patachoke,

Thank you for your correspondence in relation to the situation in Paris, France. I note your extensive deployment and have passed this through the relevant departments within the Department of Defence to establish an initial national security review and air traffic clearance for your military aircraft; no continued objection has been raised in relation to this. We would be happy to facilitate onward travel to Thailand via airports in Sweden of your choosing - in order to prevent disruption to ordinary civilian domestic traffic we ask that your military aircraft input a structured flight plan with air traffic control as and when appropriate. Providing all Thai nationals are in possession of lawful and valid travel documentation, including their state-issued passport, then a 30-day visa will be granted pending their return home.

I must inform you that all aircraft must comply with international law and military aircraft must be unarmed or in a passive state whilst inside Swedish controlled airspace. Any person in violation of the 30-day visa or domestic law during their stay will be subject to the Swedish judicial system and/or subject to deportation.
