Dear Peter Hultqvist,
The Republic of Thailand is currently in discussions regarding the humanitarian mission with the Republic of Congo and the imperial State of the Congo. We're eager to dispatch a second Humanitarian Aid Force to Africa, and we will prioritize the Congolese region this time. We request Sweden to locate a suitable resupply dock for our fleet off the coast of South Africa in the Indian Ocean on behalf of the Royal Thai Armed Forces. With 17 Endurance-class landing platform docks, five tankers, and perhaps 4 to 10 warships as escorting vessels, we intend to send about 8,500 personnel. We want to be clear that we recognize this is a large mission and that we might put some burden on your end. However, since we are carrying out this mission for our Congolese human friends, we can logistically divide our fleet among several ports.
I will be keenly waiting for your reply.
Sincerely
Chavalit Yongchaiyudh
Minister of Defence
Republic of Thailand
