Dear Ambassador Jon Astrom Grondahl,
Thailand's economy has been growing rapidly and steadily for the past year, and the Central Bank of Thailand predicts that this trend will continue for another three years. Consumer and producer investment in our nation's economy is booming. Since 2001, the unemployment rate has decreased by more than 4%. The standard of living in Thailand has increased, and investors now have more faith in our country. As a result, Thailand enjoys its position as a regional economic powerhouse, surpassing Indonesia's GDP by over 33 percent. The Thai Government has passed the Commerce Ministry's plan to initiate better international trade, establishing more partners. Sweden: our cordial friend and faithful ally, is the most prioritized on the list to enhance our trading capacity. We are looking for a trade deal to benefit Sweden by importing products valued at over $25 billion to Thailand. In return, we want to export our product to Sweden, which will pour over $32 billion in valued goods and investment into your market.
As said above, we are looking to establish a trade deal that will involve a total of four products. We wish to export Electrical Machinery, Equipment, and Rubber, Rubber Articles in return for Paper (incl. Paper Items) and Pharmaceuticals. We will have two Freighter Ship cover the trade routes as the two-way trip Fortnightly 1 month in Charactor. Thailand wants to hear Sweden's opinion on this proposal.
Sincerely
Surakiart Sathirathai
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Republic of Thailand
