Dear Chair Hrytsenko,

On behalf of the Federation of Workers’ Councils of Thailand (FWCT), I wish to express our sincere admiration for the establishment of the Federation of Free Communes of Ukraine—a union that stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of freedom and justice. It is evident that divine guidance has led your nation toward genuine liberation, forging a path free from the constraints of an overly centralized authority.

Having personally witnessed the transformative power of a people's revolution in Thailand on May 19, 1998, I deeply appreciate the courage and sacrifice required to achieve grassroots change. Although our political philosophies may differ, our nations are united by a steadfast commitment to direct democracy. Just as the Ukrainian people take pride in their self-governing communes, our tens of thousands of semi-autonomous communities underpin the robust structure of our own council system.

We recognize that building a new society from the ground up is a formidable endeavor—one that will undoubtedly be accomplished through the collective will and resilience of the Ukrainian people. The workers of Thailand draw profound inspiration from our own history of worker-led movements, and it is in this spirit of shared determination that our democratic assembly has resolved to extend a hand of solidarity to Ukraine.

I would be honored if you would consider hosting me as your first international guest at a mutually convenient time. In these challenging times, as Ukraine navigates a global landscape marked by economic pressures and authoritarian influences, I am confident that your nation’s commitment to self-determination will continue to guide its path. It is our belief that the Ukrainian people aspire to safeguard their autonomy and avoid any form of external intervention.

Until we have the opportunity to meet, please accept my heartfelt solidarity with Ukraine during this period of profound transformation.

Sincerely,

Federation of Workers’ Councils of Thailand

Dear Comrades of the Federation of Worker's Councils of Thailand,

I extend my warmest greetings and sincere gratitude to you all on behalf of the Federal Coordination Council of Ukraine for your thoughtful letter and expressions of solidarity. Your words resonate deeply with us as we continue to re-build our nation.

It is with great honor that the Council is able to invite you to Kyiv as the Communes' first international guest.

The earliest date available for such a meeting is in 9 days time, does that work for you or would a later time be more preferable?

Sincerely,

Dear Chair Hrytsenko,

The democratic assembly of the Federation of Workers’ Councils of Thailand is honored to learn that the Federation of Free Communes of Ukraine has extended an invitation for me to serve as your first international guest. In keeping with our participatory principles, I will be accompanied by several delegates elected by our assembly, underscoring our steadfast commitment to democratic centralism and collective leadership.

We are pleased to confirm that the proposed meeting date—nine days hence—aligns perfectly with our schedule. With the assistance of a chartered flight provided by the Thai Airways Cooperative, we anticipate a prompt and efficient arrival at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport.

In the spirit of openness and mutual respect, I look forward to discussing the potential establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding between our organizations. Our objective is to create a framework that fosters solidarity and encourages reciprocal learning between our distinct socio-economic systems. As the national body representing Thailand’s working population, the FWCT is hopeful that the success of this dialogue may ultimately pave the way for an official partnership between our respective nations.

Once again, the FWCT reaffirms its unwavering solidarity with Ukraine, confident that our shared commitment to egalitarian principles will continue to inspire progressive change. We eagerly anticipate our forthcoming engagement and the promising opportunities it holds for deepening our bilateral cooperation.

Yours in Solidarity,

Federation of Workers’ Councils of Thailand

February, the month of love, was half-spent when Tanida, barely past thirty, ascended the ramp into the chartered A350-900. The sleek fuselage, a marvel of cooperative engineering she recalled from a recent democratic assembly briefing, hummed with latent power. Settling into her plush seat, surrounded by fellow delegates from the Federation of Workers’ Councils of Thailand – the FWCT – she felt a stir of anticipation. "Boarding detail," she mused, her fingertip tracing the cool glass of her phone screen, the digital letters shimmering with the promise of eleven o’clock arrival.

“Comrade Tanida,” Nati, the FWCT Secretary,’s gentle nudge broke through her reverie. His calm smile, a familiar beacon in the often-turbulent seas of confederate politics, offered reassurance. “Isn't it a remarkable juncture, our journey to Ukraine, the Federation of Free Communes?” He leaned closer, his voice lowered, though privacy was hardly a concern in their close-knit delegation. “A change of scenery, undeniably. The Thai Confederacy, however informally, poised to engage a nation Russia deems within its sphere. Let us simply hope,” he added, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes, “that the national government, in its wisdom, can navigate the geopolitical currents stirred by this… revolutionary overture, after we, the confederation, have laid the groundwork with this delicate first contact.”

Tanida offered a slow nod, her fingertip still lingering on the off switch of her device, severing the digital tether to confederate affairs. “Must we always, Comrade Nati,” she began, her voice a low counterpoint to the rising hum of the engines, “succumb to such reductive thinking, moderating Ukraine to a mere bauble within Russia’s perceived sphere?” A delicate arch of an eyebrow punctuated her question, challenging the very premise. The A350-900 tilted its nose towards the sky, commencing its long, graceful climb.

“I prefer to regard it,” Tanida continued, her gaze drifting towards the brightening horizon, “as our democratic assembly agreed: Ukraine is another crucible of self-determination, comrade. Perhaps their fervent faith, so entwined with their revolution, strikes a dissonant chord with our own secular path, yet we must grant it respect. For is it not, in its tumultuous genesis, another experiment forged in the fires of post-capitalist yearning, untainted, at least for now, by the corrosive touch of capital itself?” The jet ascended, carrying her and her delegation towards a nascent revolution, a distant echo, perhaps, of their own transformative dawn.

Nati smiled, a dryly amused quirk of his lips replacing the gentle smile. “Perhaps, comrade, a dialectical materialist such as yourself is right to maintain that healthy Marxist skepticism. And, indeed, as a fellow traveler on the path of Marx, I confess a certain eagerness to dissect the very economic base of their supposedly stateless society—to ascertain the precise extent to which their, shall we say, unique manifestation of societal superstructure truly complements their mode of production.”

He leaned back, settling deeper into the plush seat, a wry twist now playing about his mouth. “Though, for the moment, I confess a simple desire for respite. A robust argument with a Marxist, as sentimentally undesirable as that prospect might be,” he paused, a thoughtful shadow flickering across his eyes, “pales, I find, infinitely less daunting than even the potential dialectical intricacies of two Marxists locked in true debate.” The weight of thought seemed to settle upon him then, and he closed his eyes, leaving the faint echo of his humor lingering in the cabin's pressurized air.

Thus, the informal Thai delegation embarked for the Federation of Free Communes of Ukraine, a nation whose communal structure, though not mirroring the radical decentralization of the Thai Confederacy, still represented another vital stage in humanity's enduring quest for emancipation.
