The Golden Hand (TGH) is a small underground capitalist counter-revolutionary movement in the Socialist Republic of Thailand. The group seeks to restore laissez-faire capitalism and authoritarianism, as practiced during the Rattanakosin era. It is a domestically designated terrorist group known for homicide, arson, property destruction, and hostage-taking activities. Thailand’s Internal Security Operation Command reports the TGH’s strength at approximately 800 individuals across the confederation. Official intelligence deems the group’s demographics as former bourgeoisie of pre-revolution Thailand, including aristocratic descendants, wealthy landowners, and former corporate magnates. The group is known for its anti-humanistic rhetoric, proclaiming ordinary people as lacking the intellectual capacity to live without being slaves and tortured. TGH operates as a small, highly clandestine, and decentralized underground movement due to widespread popular support for socialism in Thailand. Each cell typically has limited knowledge of other compartmentalization. Its propaganda includes narratives of lost freedoms to employ workers without paying them, to kill enemies without getting jailed, and to bribe politicians without facing consequences. The confederal and provincial governments declared TGH as the last remnant of counter-revolutionary capitalist forces in Thailand. They are committed to eradicating such a group to protect the collective well-being and liberty of the Thai people.
