"Good morning, everyone! With the clocks striking 10AM, the polls for whether Turkey will restore The Osman Dynasty to the important role of heads of state are now open. The decision, which was originally kept off the table by General Ozmert's military junta, and Admiral Ugurlu's Ottoman Movement, has been quickly set up to get the question answered. Due to the movement being inextricably linked to the brief period of unrest in Turkey, which caused the lives of many Turks and Bosniaks to be mercilessly slaughtered by Ex-President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the pair reconsidered their stance on the issue. The official reasoning for this being that the road to recovery from what is undeniably the single darkest moment in Turkey's history cannot begin until the question that caused the darkness is answered. With opinion polls for the elderly Süleyman Osmanoğlu III, the current head of the Osman Dynasty, being overwhelmingly in favour, many are convinced that the referendum will result in an overwhelming yes vote. However, others argue that the opinion polls of a single man, and a seismic change of Turkey's form of government, are not synonymous and that it may actually be a disappointment for The Ottomans. Of course, we won't find out until later today, once the ballots have been counted!"

"That's it! The results are officially in regarding whether Turkey will be restoring The Osman Dynasty as the monarchs of our great nation! The turnout has been calculated as 86.23%, meaning 51,188,524 individual votes were cast. 1,129,275 of those votes were blank or spoilt, nullifying them as a result. The remaining valid votes, totalling 50,059,249, were counted as such:

28,533,771 voted yes.
21,525,478 voted no.

As such, the yes vote won with a 57% majority, proving the critics right that the popularity of our new sultan, Süleyman III, would not result in a landslide. However, victory has still been achieved for the monarchists. After 90 years, The Osman Dynasty has returned to power. What will this mean for Turkey? Well, that's a question that will be answered in due course. Will we roll back the 90 years of secularist progress performed under the doctrine of Kemalism? Will The Sultan's position as Caliph prove to be an integral part to his position as our head of state? What powers will The Sultan have? What will the rules of succession be? Will we see a Sultana take power as our head of state, or will the traditional male-only law of succession be reinstated?
