Twitter Logo Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade The advice on smartraveller.gov.au for Metropolitan France has been updated to "Reconsider your need to travel" due to the limited number of flights entering Metropolitan France and growing civil unrest. Advice for New Caledonia will be upgraded to "Exercise a high degree of caution" and French Polynesia as well as Wallis and Futuna will remain "Exercise normal safety precautions". Australian citizens are advised to travel by land, either vehicle or train to the United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands or Germany in order to take flights out of the country. Qantas has suspended flights into Paris but will continue to operate flights to Australia from London and Frankfurt. @DFAT Twitter Logo
