on behalf of the Government of Èran and his Majesty the Great King, I want first thank you for your outreach to the Kingdom of Èran, to explore the possibility’s of cooperation between the UK and Iran.
My Government is very open and will with pleasure hold an opening phone call, as you suggested. On behalf of communication with yourself and your office, I and my Ministry will be the partner for any dialogue and questions.
If the UK wants to hold at any time further talks about the cooperation and relationship with the Kingdom of Èran, we stand also in communication with our Foreign Ministry for coordination and wider talks.

On behalf of my Office the pursue of a talk to set a Trade agreement between Iran and the UK in motion, would be in interest of my government.
I also know that on behalf of my Country’s Defense Ministry there are, right now pausing, talks with your countries arms producer Nexus Systems, and we are willing and happy to talk about the options of arms cooperation and trade with the UK and its esteemed company’s.

I stand ready for your answer and a phone talk, if your office may give me notice for a convenient time for such.

After receiving the reply, Peter Cross arranged a dedicated slot in his calendar via his secretary so he would have uninterrupted time to call his Iranian colleagues. He also invited them to the meeting to ensure transparency and confirm mutual availability. A few days later, Peter was in his private office on the third floor, the door closed and a window slightly ajar to let in a soft breeze. He picked up the phone and initiated the call, waiting for them to answer.

Minister Ardashir was in positive regards, towards the question from the Uk and Secretary Cross for a call, about constructive talks between them. Even more so, as there had not been talks between the foreign ministry of both countries, which then may have handed such talks to Ardashir and his Ministry, which in foreign affairs was mostly little involved, especially in such early time communication between governments. In this regard even the matters of commerce, on mostly bilateral levels, where tightly handled by the Great Gate of foreign relations, in which the Brother of the Shah himself hold the Ministry.

Therefore it was the minister himself who answered the initial message of secretary cross, especially as the Foreign Ministry gave him notice to relay on his ministry this time.
Maybe the recent events with the PKK and these terrible border incidents, had dedicated more resources in the Great Gate for those troublesome subjects of international politics.
With a dark Persian saffron tea on his desk he took the phone up after his secretary noticed him of the call to arrive.

Firstly, I would like to extend our condolences regarding the recent tragic events along your borders. I must admit I have not yet seen the full detail beyond media reporting, but we sincerely hope the situation is brought under control swiftly and without further loss.

I wanted to reach out today with a clear and straightforward intention. The purpose of this call is to open a constructive line of dialogue between London and Tehran, with the aim of building an active working relationship rather than the limited engagement that we've had thus far.

We are interested in building our international partnerships. Seeking opportunities where we can support one another, develop trade, and address shared challenges collaboratively.

In short, we would like to move towards a relationship defined by engagement, cooperation, and practical problem-solving.” DukeofBread

"Thank you Secretary Cross, for the honest given condolences. At this level I can at least assure you that for now we have secured the border situation, and my government has it at top priority to secure it against further tragedy. But considered the events also in Turkey, I am sure you can understand how much the situation is still dangerous, not only for Iran.

I am very pleased to hear this offer for the beginning of constructive talks between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Èran.
My Government would look forward to establish joint relationship on a regular basis in areas of shared interests.

As I already wrote in my response, Iran and my Ministry especially would stand open for talks about a trade agreement. While for security, travel and arms partnership I would like to ask on the subjects, where your honorable Government sees areas of cooperation with Iran? I am open to share, that my government still seeks for partnership especially in these troubled times, to bolster our ability’s for a secure international trade, travel and middle East region. I think the UK can play a great role in such endeavor with Iran."
