[US]: Phone call to Argentina

Vice President Joe Biden would pick up the phone, and through an encrypted line, would call the heads of the Argentinian Government.

President Herrero would be surrently on the phone with another President, Vice-President Lo Giudice with a Foreign Prime Minister. The US would be informed that Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Osvaldo was available if VP Biden wished to talk to him.

"Vice President, this is Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Argentina. Thank you for your call, how can I be of help?"

"Thank you for taking my call.. I'm just a little confused at the moment. What is happening with France?"

 

[Naio90]

"I see, we explained most of the things in the recent Official Statement released by my Government. Basically, France invaded argentine airspace with an aircraft full of military personnel and military cargo, refused to respond to the ATC and we had to pull up fighters to intercept. In response, the pilot faked an emergency and requested to land. Finally, while trying to get the french our of the aircraft, they blew themselves up, killing all people on board and arround the aircraft, including dozens of argentine citizens.

That should be it, more or less."

"Right.. I see. I understand that this has annoyed your government and I express my condolences for those who have lost their lives, but is there no way this can be resolves peacefully?"

"We tried to negotiate with the french Government, and had to see ourselves called monkeys, retards and things much worse by the french Minister of Foreign Affairs itself. My government never went to war in all the time it was in power, and it is not our policy to do so. But in this case, we see no ground to try talk sense with a racist, violent Government that does not shy away from killing its own people.

Actions will be taken against France, but remain unworried regarding the activities, as we do not intent to make a global affair out of this, nor interfere with global commerce or force unecesary geopolitical changes."

"Would it be possible that a hotline could be set up with France to try an negotiate peace before more bloodshed occurs? I'm willing to offer the US as a middle ground for peace talks"

"I will rely your offer to the President, and express our thanks to you now for your Governments interest in brokering peace. We sincerely value it. However, I can say that at the moment I don't think settlement talks are welcomed by my Government after how the french behave towards us.

Of course, this can change from one moment to the other."
