With the command of the Foreign Minister, General Prawit Wongsuwan would prepare for his venture to Buenos Aires, beginning at Suvarnabhumi Airport where his private plane would take off. His flight would be kept a secret, leaving it to the Argentines whether or not this visit would make the news or not.

The flight would take many hours, but it was without incident and before the General even knew, the Ezeiza International Airport could be seen below him as his jet began its landing. With nothing more than his suit and a smile, the General would disembark from his jet the moment it was safe to do so.

The aircraft would be guided to a remote parking position at the international airport, and would come to a halt next to a small motorcade consisting of 2 black SUVs, 1 unmarked police car and 2 police motorcycles. Upon his descend the Minsiter of Defence of Thailand and his entourage would be greeted by the deputy Minister of Defence of Argentina and escorted to his VIP vehicle.

The motorcade would depart directly towards the Minister accomodations, a specially booked room in one of the ebst hotels of Buenos Aires, paid for by the argentine State.

He would be informed of the agenda, which would start early the next day with a helicopter flight to Cordoba, to visit the ArgenDef industrial park. In the afternoon they would return to Buenos Aires for meeting with authorities from the argentine Ministry of Defence. The last day would be reserved to visit, once again by helicopter, the city of Bahia Blanca, were an important equipment depot is located.

The argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs would issue a brief statement informing the arrival and official agenda of the thai minister.

"I thank you for welcoming me to Argentina on such short notice, Minister. The agenda looks interesting and I'm excited to be here on behalf of Thailand. I'm certain we'll be able to achieve the beginnings of great things on my visit along with securing economic and militaristic relations between our nations.

I also heard from my Prime Minister before my trip here that Thailand has decided to join the CIS."

"I congratulate you for that decision! If it is confirmed, I' sure both sides will win with Thailand in the CIS."

The informal talk would continue and eventually the thai minister would be left to rest.

IN the early hours of the next day, a Embraer Phenom of the Argentine Air Force would be waiting at the 1st Air Brigade in Palomar, ready to bring the delegation to Cordoba. The flight would only take 1 hour.

Once there, a new motorcade would get them directly to the facilities of ArgenDef, where the thai minister would be shown a small presentation about the company and then, after a working lunch, he would be given a our through the industrial sector, seeing the assembly lines of some of the products that will soon be delviered to the Thai Armed Forces.

The General would mainly stay silent during the tour, observing the equipment that would be sent to his country. "I must say that I am impressed," he admitted, "ArgenDef seems to know what they're doing, Thailand will be happy to know its Ministry of Defense chose well.

If you don't mind, however, I have some questions about other Argentine equipment that is on the ArgenDef catalog. Mainly the radars such as the Ar-MIS, Ar-MEWS, and the Ar-MOCDES and the J-600T Thunderbolt. If Argentina would be willing, Thailand would purchase ten of each product if you aid us in pinpointing locations within Thailand where they would serve the most along with where they would be as safe as possible from possible enemy attacks and of course aiding us in learning how to use them.

As Thailand has already sent in their application to join the CIS, I believe this would be a wonderful start to our possible alliance."

"Well, the Ar-MIS, Ar-MEWS, and the Ar-MOCDES and the J-600T Thunderbolt ar not radars per se, electronic warfare, Air-Defense missile and tactical missile systems. Each of them has its own incorporated radar, however, they do work better with external linked systems. We offer some of them, like the Argentine Primary 3D Radar with a range of 400km.

As fort he locations, let us check your geogrpahy. perhaps the best would be to work together, with a team of thai specialists. In the end, they are the experts and we can only suggest and advice based upon the performance of the equipment.

As for the CIS expression of interest, we have received it and submitted to the Political Board, it should be treated soon. We are positive about the outcome."

"Very well then, let's add some of the Argentine Primary 3D Radars to our purchase, four of them should be more than enough to cover the whole of Thailand and enhance the usefulness of the other equipment.

Northern Thailand is extremely mountainous, especially on our border with Myanmar, most of these mountains are forested and impossible to begin farms near them meaning that most of them are entirely uninhabited. North-eastern Thailand consists mainly of the dry Khorat Plateau which at some areas is extremely flat. The short monsoon season floods it heavily. But most of northeastern Thailand is relatively dry compared to the rest of the country. The heartland was constructed for rice farming and building anything there would be impractical. Eastern Thailand is a mix of small mountain ranges alternating with small basins and rivers that empty into the Gulf of Thailand. Western Thailand is mainly mountains and steep river valleys. Southern Thailand is based on tourism, so building anything there will be more than easy.

Our people would be more than happy to work alongside Argentine specialists to get this done.

I'm also glad to hear of Argentina's thought on Thailand's application, working together will help everyone."

"If my memory is right, the cost of 4 Argentine Primary 3D Radars would be $1,200,000,000.00. Of course without any further taxes or tariffs.

The production of this products should be done soon. Do you want us to mvoe on and go to the Bahia Blanca Naval Base? There are some things there we want to show you."

And by all means, led the way."

The delegation, including argentine officials, would get back to the Rio Cuarto Airport and board the Embraer Phenom. They would fly directly to Almirante Zar Airport in Bahia Blanca, where two VLEGA Gaucho's would be waiting to pick them up at the tarmac.

They would be offered something to drink, considering that the journey had begun very early that day and that the hot summer days were starting to be frequent down in Argentina. After that, the two vehicles with the people on board would go directly to one of the multiple docks in what was one of the biggest argentine naval bases.

A long row of alligned warships was there, partially mothballed and cared for. The vehicles would halt in front of a large frigate, a Valour-Class, produced only last year.

The argentine Minister of Defence of go first and board the ship, greeting an officer and some sailors assigned to the maintenance of the ship., the, he would address the thai minister.

"This is a Valour-Class Frigate. We build it just last year, based on designs acquired from South Africa. Its a very versatile, all-round, modern Frigate that can carry out almost all basic naval combat roles. It has the capacity to engange submarine, aerial and other naval targets thaks to its wide range of weapons.

Its electronics makes it also a state of the art ship.

We would like to donate equipment to Thailand, to help you modernize your forces quickly. Some of these ships would be included."

"This is quite the ship, I must admit. Thailand is very grateful that Argentina has put such an interest in modernizing our armed forces.

But I must ask, what are the reasons for Argentina no longer wanting these Valour-class frigates?"

"Argentinas Navy is mostly comprised of Russian and Argentine made vessels. We purposly adquired the Domestic Production Rights for some products, including the Valour-Class Frigates, in order to build them with the intention to be used as a way to support allies of our country in setting up their own armed forces. LIke we want to do with Thailand.

We also have some aircraft we would like to hand over to Thailand, although they are not near as modern and "last generation" such as these ships."

"Well then, we would be honored to accept such a gift. How many of these ships should Thailand expect to receive? This way I can send a message ahead of time to secure enough men to man them.

I'd also like to know more about these aircraft and their designated purpose."

"We were thinking of a first set of 5 Frigates. Surely there will be more in the near future. As for the aircraft, we have some brand new IAI Nesher mothballed. They might be outdated if faced against the latest fighters out there, but they are still dangerous aircraft to be faced in numbers. We would be transfering 48x of them, enough to equip 2 fighter squadrons. Of course, if they are of interest to your Air Force."

"Five frigates is a gracious offer, I thank you.

As for the jets, we'll accept them regardless of age, our air force lacks any strenght at the moment and I'm certain that these fighters will help us kickstart our royal air force."

"We will begin the process of transfering the mentioned equipment as soon as possible.

We are happy that the equipment is of use to Thailand. We are willing to do as much as possible to contribute to your nation becoming a major international player. As Minsiter of Defence, this is my contribution."

----------

Logistics and mainetance personnel would begin preparing the 5 Valour-Class Frigates to be transfered to Thailand after being delivered at their main port, after being brought there by argentine navy crews. All ships would be prepared for the voyage and caryr additional fuel and supplies to make the trip without any invoncenience.

The 48 IAI Nesher would also be prepared to be shipped on commercial vessels to Thailand. They would be delivered together with crates of spare pieces, tools and additional engines, as well as armament and paperwork to do the maintenance of everything.

All this would be done privately.

"Well, I thank you for your contribution, Minister. Thailand appreciates this gesture and we'll make certain that none of the equipment given to us is wasted and will all be put up to good use, I assure you.

We'll also begin some tactical practices to train our people with both the Valour-class frigates and IAI Nesher fighters.

Was there anything else you wished to show me?"

"For the moment, I think we are good. I was informed that all products Thailand ordered from ArgenDef have been shipped and delivered. let us know if you need anything else, or if you wan to discuss the possbility of conducting joint exercises to train in specific conditions or for particualr skills. Our Armed Forces underwent a big specialization program these last years and we would be more than happy to share it with you.

I also spoke with Foreign Minister Osvaldo, who told me to comment you that your nations application to the CIS is currently being duscissed and msot probably will be accepted. Some of the other member nations are having some internal issues which makes them take longer in replying.

And finally, he told me that the braizlians would like to have a meeting with you, as they are also very interested ine stablishing firm contact with Thailand. Now that you are here in the "vecinity" perhaps you could jump over to Brasilia for a quick visit."

"That's good to hear, Thailand will soon be making another order for radars and electronic warfare equipment. As for joint exercises, Thailand would be interested in whatever Argentina could help us better our troops with. If also possible, we would be interested in perhaps having an exercise in the Patagonian Desert to prepare our troops for any event, in return, Thailand would welcome Argentine troops to exercise among our own in the jungles and terrain of the country.

I'm happy to know that Thailand's application is in such a good place, I believe we can accomplish many things together with the rest of the CIS.

I'll certainly contact the Brazilian government before my departure from Argentina, I'm certain that I'll be able to squeeze in a meeting with them."

"We look forward to any possible future thai order.

As fro joint exercises, we would welcome a field operations exercise down in Patagonia, perhaps we could talk about some 100 to 200 troops per side, which then you can use in Thailand to conduct your own exercises and share the knowledge of those troops with the rest of your army.

The argentine army would facilitate helicopters and ground vehicles.

Also, the Argentine Air Force is one of the best trained forces out there today. We would also be delighted to invite few selected thai pilots to join us in some aerial combat training modules.

Feel free to contact the brazilian government directly. Argentina has an outstanding relation with them, and Presidents Herrero and Romero are personal friends."
