INTERNATIONAL RACING CHAMPIONSHIP 1998 SEASON​

After a succesfull 1997 Season, that resulted with a clear triumph of the brazilian team Antarctica Motor Racing, the IRC Board has announced that registrations are now open for the 1998 Season. The Race Schedule will be posted as soon as the minimum team number (8 teams) is reached. The Schedule is also open for new Grand Prix hosts that are interested in submitting their racetracks for the 1998 Season. 1997 Tracks are eligible for the 1998.

Clarifications about the rules: We will use the originally planned system for the 1998 Season, since I see there is more space for roleplay and tinckering around with the car stats. For the complete rules please check here . 1998 modifications: - Teams that participated in the 1997 Season will have a small exp boost (teams could also be "purchased" by new owners/nations...up to the roleplay) - Pilots that participated in the 1997 Season will have a small exp bost (also, they could technically be traded) - The defending Champion would have an additional bonus modifier. Also, JakeDorent is said to be an expert in designing nice F1 cars for the applications (not necesary, but a nice touch). INFORMATION ON THE UPCOMING SEASON​

Due to the increased number of teams already registered, the prize for the Constructors Championship has increased to $5,000,000,000.00, while the runner up will cash $1,500,000,000.00 . Individual GP prizes and bonunses are not counted in said numbers. We currently only have 7 registered Grand Prix events. We are still looking to at least 3 more. Hosting a GP means the possibility to adapt it to their own cars specs, and also to have a better performance as your team runs in their home turf. Due to the number of teams participating, the distribution of pointshas been altered for the 1998 Season: P1 25 pts P2 18 pts P3 15 pts P4 12 pts P5 10 pts P6 8 pts P7 6 pts P8 4 pts P9 2 pts P10 1 pts Also, to balance the field, Endurance multipliers have been slightly altered in the calculations: Skill level Multiplier 1 0,05 2 0,07 3 0,09 4 0,11 5 0,13 6 0,15 7 0,17 8 0,19 9 0,21 10 0,23 Also, due to the increased number of Drivers, new luck values have been added to the calculations. Drivers will now receive random pre-race bonus/nerfs of 0,9, 0,95, 0,97, 1, 1,03, 1,05 and 1,1. The most probable modifier is 1 (no change), while only 1 driver will receive the worst and other the best luck multipliers. Team and track registration will end on march 1998 (7 march OOC). The Race Calendar will be published the following week, and the first GP will take place on the 1st of april (14 march OOC). Grand Prix will be held once per month (IC), always on sundays (tax days). Results will be posted together with a Race Report in this thread and all participants will be tagged. Players will be able to roleplay stories regarding their team, performance, expectations, car development etc. This will have an impact on the next GP, and then will carry over to the following one with a 50% effect. After a GP, Teams will receive development points to improve their vehicles. Modifications to cars (adding new development points) will be accepted until the saturday before the GP, and can be done through a simple post here (tagging Naio and just saying something like "1 development point assigned to "Speed" ", or you can to a development story RP, which will have a positive impact on your upcoming race (RP Bonus). Drivers that participated in the 1997 Season will receive 5 driver skill points (starting the Season with 6). New drivers will start with 1. The 1997 champion (Barichello) will also receive a 10 point driver skill bonus. Races will hand out skill points to all drivers. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!
