As partners in the pacific region, and as democratic and like-minded states sharing a number of values as well as beliefs on the principles of organizing the economic and political system. H.E. President Kim hopes that our shared values will align us on security & foreign policy issues.

His Excellency appreciates your kind offer to host a state visit in his capacity as the President of the Republic of Korea. However, due to the President's intended trip to the Republic of Argentina, he is currently unavailable for a state visit. H.E. Prime Minister Jo is happy to come to Australia on an Official Visit in his capacity as Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea to meet with H.E. Prime Minister Howard and his team.

His Excellency Prime Minister Jo would like to extend his appreciation for the invitation to visit Australia on an official visit. In coordination with the Presidential Security Service, the Prime Minister will be traveling with a team of 30 security personnel from the P.S.S. and Prime Minister Jo's chief of security Kim Heechul will be the point of contact for the ROK's security arrangement. Prime Minister's security detail will bring 2 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and 3 Mercedes Benz S400 vehicles, as well as be armed with a standard Heckler & Koch MP7 & Beretta Px4 Storm. The Prime Minister will be flying a charted Korean Air aircraft from Seoul Incheon Airport to Canberra Airport with a second aircraft flying as an alternative plane and to carry the equipment for the ROK delegation.

With regards to an agenda of discussion, the Prime Minister hopes to address major concerns with regards to Foreign and Security policy in the Pacific Region including the rise of communist factions across India & Canada, but wishes to also discuss in cultural and educational relations. As a major destination for Korean students both minors and adults to study English and attend university. With 21,000 Korean nationals attending to educational institutions in Australia, we hope to formalize an agreement to make the process easier, assist Korean minors in the country, and protect Korea's interests. Additionally, as a major cultural drive we hope to exchange cooperative agreements on cultural exchanges, visa-free travel, amongst other things. H.E. The Prime Minister hopes the agenda will encompass these items.

The route details are accepted by the P.S.S. There is a request for the ROK Embassy in Canberra to be allowed to scout the locations ahead of the Prime Minister's arrival alongside the relevant Australian authorities and to conduct interviews with individuals who have made threats against the Korean diplomatic mission or officials in the past. The P.S.S. does not have any other accommodating requests, however, will continue to relay new requests as the final date of arrival gets closer. His Excellence looks forward to seeing a strong and fruitful partnership and relationship between the ROK and Australia.

With the meeting about to go ahead with the Korean Prime Minister, the AFP Federal Agents would begin setting up and preparing the route for the arrival. The armoured convoy would prepare and head towards Canberra Airport where it shall wait and escort all the Korean delegation, if needed their was room in the unmarked BMW X3s for any of the Korean Delegation. 4 Federal Agents would head over to the Korean Embassy to help and escort the Korean Agents who would wish to interview and look over the route.

Back at the Lodge, the aides of the Prime Minister would begin preparing the meeting room by laying out food and various drinks from both Australian and the Korean culture. Numerous Federal Agents from the AFP would begin preparing the area of the arrival within the lodge itself, ensuring the walk way and other means of access is all covered. Flags from both Australia and Korea would be draped on gold flag poles with two stands in front in case the Korean Prime Minister would want to hold a press release. An aide from the Department of Defence, the Director-General of the Asia-Oceania would head over to the Lodge to help with the meeting.

The South Korean Prime Minister would ready his bags in Sejong City as his wife and two daughters helped him pack. He smiled and laughed with his youngest daughter who kept throwing a bag of sweets for him so he wouldn't get hungry. He picked her up and tossed her in the air as the two ended up playing around while his wife and older daughter helped finish packing. The two running around their house before his wife came out and told them to knock if off. Prime Minister Jo and his family sat together in their living room where they ate their dinner together. Hearing stories of how their school day was going and the new things they learned. Jaehyuk and Surin smiled and laughed with their kids and tested them occasionally. The move to Sejong City was a little stressful, but, their worries if they would fit in at school and how they adapted were whisked away. After putting the kids to bed, Jaehyuk and Surin sat in the living room. They would watch the news as JTBC covered the latest news in East Asia and the globe. As footage of the Japanese expelling ethnic Koreans in Japan was shown, Surin just looked in dismay. "How can they be so heartless?" Jaehyuk nodded his head as he signed. "You should see them in the meetings...they are something else." Surin just shook her head as she got up and poured a glass of wine for the two handing one of the glasses to Jaehyuk as she sat down. "Is there anything we can do about it? Do you think President Kim will try and stop them?" Jaehyuk shook his head. "I doubt it. Surin. he looked at his wife as she sipped from the glass of wine. "Sometimes they talk about hypothetical wars with the Japanese...the situation is scary sometimes...looking in the direction of his two daughters room and thinking about what a war would do to this generation of Koreans. "I pray we never get there." Surin nodded and put down her glass while she switched the channels not wishing to see it any longer. "Do you think the President can bring them into the South at least?" Surin asked with sincerity. "We have to try...knowing he couldn't tell his wife about the reunification talks ongoing they are our people too." The couple changed the channel to something less political. Tuning into the weekly running of a comedic show. The two laughed and enjoyed the rest of their evening before Jaehyuk was expected to fly out the next day. It was getting late, cleaning the dishes and bathroom the two tidied up before going to their bedroom and getting ready for bed. They went to bed at around 11:00, with the Jaehyuk's flight at 6:30 am the following day. The Prime Minister would not get much rest though. At around 3:20 am a phone would ring from the National Security Council. An urgent situation about Dhaka. The Prime Minister would get up doing his best not to wake up his wife as he walked into the living room and got a briefing from the Acting-Chief Presidential Security of the President. The Prime Minister would be briefed on the situation, but asked not to inform him staff about it as the situation was still ongoing. The Prime Minister thanked him before hanging up. It was then around 4:30 am and it was unlikely he could sleep another hour. He sat on the couch and relaxed for another hour or so before going to shower and get ready. At around 5:25 Surin was already up making lunch for their daughters to take to school while also preparing Jaehyuk's clothes. Laying out a red turtleneck and some black work pants, the Prime Minister got ready. By 6:00 the motorcade was ready and the police escorts had arrived. His chief bodyguard Kim Taehyun would waiting outside. Saying hello to the Prime Ministers wife and helping to carry the Prime Minister's luggage, Jaehyuk would say goodbye to his daughters and then his wife as he left for the airport. On the drive he was given further updates to the situation in Dhaka.

The Prime Ministers motorcade would drive across the city. While slowly getting crowded, it was nothing like Seoul. The motorcade would cruise through the city and arrive at the airport relatively quickly. At the airport his team was waiting while the Vice Ministers were already inside the airport at the terminal with their teams. The Prime Minister waved to some people who had recognized him and took sometime to talk with some elderly women who told him about things in their hometowns. Even being invited, the Prime Minister thanked them and hoped to do so. He would be moved through customs and security quickly before arriving at the terminal where the Vice Ministers and Intelligence Deputy Chief were waiting. The three bowed as the Prime Minister walked in. He respectfully bowed and sat down and the other three sat down after. They briefed on the situation in Dhaka and Australia summit. The ROK Navy had neutralized and detained all four insurgents and the Embassy was secured. However, he was shared pictures and saw the extent of the damage. While it was still too early to get an idea who it was, the Prime Minister looked with a bit of anger as he saw blood and debris spread across the premise. They discussed their options and what they could do, while also how to respond if the Australians pressed them to discuss it. The Prime Minister hoped the incident in Dhaka would not dominate the discussion with he Australians. Their flight got closer and the three would leave the lounge as they were escorted onto the plane. They would take a government chartered flight and would be escorted to the private wing of the Airport where they boarded the aircraft. The Prime Minister would take out a stuffed animal his daughter had given him, and put it on his seat. On his left a senior negotiator, Yi Sanggong and his right a very new and young advisor but expert on Australia, Park Jason. Across him was the Vice Minister Chae Songha and next to her was the NIS Deputy Chief, Kim Sanggyoon. As they got seated, the older statement looked at the stuffed animal and asked if the Prime Minister's daughter had given it to him. The younger staffer who had not been raised in Korea but Australia would joke with the Prime Minister. "No, hthe Prime Minister is just scared of planes." The older statesmen looked down on the advisor and shook his head. "Kids these days..." The advisor just smiled before putting on his mask and sunglasses. "Yeah, Jieun gave it to me. Well..she actually hide it. So he is a stowaway." The Prime Minister responded with a smile as he looked down on it. The advisor would pick up a briefing paper and read it as he asked some questions about the mission and objectives. Stumbling upon the Japan question. "Prime Minister, will we be discussing the Japanese with the Australians?" He nodded and added "As well as the Indians and Bangladeshis. We are all in the Pacific region. So, setting common ground on these issues would be crucial. Songha has dealt with the Japanese & Indians before. So, she understands some of them better than I do."

Vice Minister Chae was still angry at them for sending her to deal with the Japanese Ambassador. "He is so rude...how does someone even become an Ambassador in Japan? Are they just picked from prison and asked to serve?" The Vice Minister still frustrated by the Japanese Ambassador and his tone during the meeting. "They are so rude and disrespectful. They treat us like a colony all over again." The Prime Minister nodded his head in agreement. Even though his time in Japan was brief, he was well aware the true face of these politicians that he had run into at Sophia University. "The world has bad people everywhere Songha. Let's focus our diplomacy with the good." The face of the Vice Minister was showed clearly she was unconvinced. However, she did not want to be angry the rest of the flight. After sometime, the Vice Minister would fall asleep, especially with how busy she has been, she had deserved it. Unfortunately the US Meetings and Argentina summit were draining the Foreign Ministry and the Vice Minister bore the brunt of that. Charged with dealing with the NSC, Japanese, Poles, negotiating the ROK-Poland Trade Agreement, and a number of other assignments. The younger advisor seeking to tempt his superiors and wake her would see the "Let her sleep. He smiled. Otherwise she'll give us an earful about how we made her deal with the Japanese." The younger advisor looked at the Minister and asked. "Are they really that bad?" The Prime Minister laughed before looking around and whispering. "They are just full of themselves." The younger advisor looked curiously at the Prime Minister before asking, "Why didn't the President want to meet them?" The Prime Minister looked at him and responded "Why do you think Jason?" The advisor thought about it and responded. "The Japanese wanted to meet but did not want to set an agenda because they knew we'd make them apologize. The President wanted to meet the Japanese but knew they would not want to apologize...I still don't get why they didn't meet?" The older statesmen, the senior negotiator retorted at the kid "This is the brains we're bringing to Australia?" Prime Minister Jo laughed a little hearing that. "It was about setting the tone. The Japanese wanted to make to clear that they are the ones who can set the agenda and tone of the relationship. In the style of their Prime Minister. The President wanted to make it clear that the Japanese can't set the agenda and that their style isn't the style of diplomacy." Pausing for a second before continuing. "But, I suspect it has to do with the fact they restored the Monarchy and Empire than a just both sides trying to show dominance. If that was the case, they would've agreed to dispatch some ministerial delegations. I just don't know what is happening in Tokyo." Jason smirked before saying almost a little too loudly "We'll we showed them who's boss then!" Had they not been on a private government flight, the Prime Minister would've reprimanded the younger advisor. "We need dialogue Jason. We're neighbors. I think the Japanese were wrong. We offered to send ministers and have other delegations meet...hmm...Let's focus on the Australians. If we let the Japanese dominate our discussions, then I'd say they showed us. He said with a smile looking at Jason." They would arrive in Australia in short time and began descending. When they rived on the tarmac, the Australian motorcade would be assembled. The P.S.S. would unload their own equipment and deployed 15 agents into the Sprinter and the remaining 15 amongst the other vehicles. The technical staff would be transported through the Benz S400 and other Sprinter while the Prime Minister and his team would be in one of the Australian BMWs, and the others amongst the other vehicles. As the delegation was transported across Canberra to the lodge, they went over last minute notes before they would arrive at the Lodge. The South Koreans would arrive at the lodge where the Prime Minister and his team would be brought inside. The South Korean Presidential Security Service in conjunction with the Australian AFP would secure the complex and while not venturing beyond the immediate halls and areas of importance, would be vigilantly watching the premises and meeting space.

The South Korean Prime Minister would smile as he was greeted by his Australian counterpart and extended his hand after respectfully bowing. "It is a pleasure to meet you your excellency JamieA."

With the South Korean Delegation arriving the Prime Ministers and his aides would bow out of respect for the South Koreas before raising their bodies and shaking hands "Mr Prime Minister, thank you for coming on such short notice! I hope you had a pleasant journey, please follow me" the Prime Minister would begin leading the way into the conference room, gesturing for the South Koreans to sit on the side of the table where the South Korean flag would be draped before continuing to speak "Please help yourself to the refreshments and snacks on the tables. How are things in Bangladesh? We heard the news and its terrible. If there is anything that the Commonwealth can do, please do let me know"

"It was my pleasure." As the two men walked into the room, they would pass small talk about the flight and other things. At the direction of his host, the Prime Minister and his delegation would sit on the opposite side of the table with the South Korean flag present as he looked onto the Australians with their flags behind them. The Prime Minister would smile as the two sides sat down and began the talks. The Prime Minister would take some a glass of water placed in front of him by some staff as the summit began. "Thank you Prime Minister Howard. While the situation is still ongoing, the Embassy has been secured. We were able to coordinate with the local authorities and ended the siege and attacks. While we still do not know the motive behind the attack, we will continue to do all in our power to bring those to responsible justice and ensure an incident like this does not occur. Should we require the assistance of your government, we are reassured by your offer of assistance and will let your government know."

"I'm glad to hear that the situation is winding down and rest assured if the call for help comes, the Australian Administration will do its best to answer and help in anyway it can. How are things back in Seoul? I hope things are pleasant, please do give my best wishes to the President when you return!" the Prime Minister paused, taking a glass of water ensuring he takes a sip before continuing to speak "I'm glad you could make it on such short notice, I do believe the Republic of Korea and the Commonwealth of Australia shares the same beliefs and I do believe its wise that our two nations spark formal relations especially for the security and peace of the Pacific Region. I'd like to kick of with trade, I'd like to ensure that you know any trade deals that we strike today, we will make sure we honour it when we receive our fleet of vessels from Damen Shipyards. The Australian Administration can offer the following to the South Korean people; Coal, Aluminium, Natural Gas, Petroleum & Iron Ore. Normally we would add tariffs onto these but I believe a gesture of good will that the Australian Administration is willing to part with the tariffs altogether for the people of Korea. Would any of these products suit you?"

The South Korean Prime Minister would listen to his Australian counterpart as he spoke.. "Thank Prime Minister Howard. The situation in Seoul is stable compared to the years before. His Excellency President Kim hopes you will pay a visit so that we may return the hospitality you have shown us here. I shall be sure to extend your best wishes to the President. After South Korean Prime Minister finished, A female diplomat next to the Prime Minister would translate his speech into English for the Australians and do so for the rest of the Prime Minister's speech. Also providing translations for the Korean delegation and would be the official translator for the Korean Delegation. As the Prime Minister listened to his Australian counterpart he nodded on the issues of security and cooperation the region."As members of the Pacific Region, we may not share a direct land border, but, bond our two countries goes for many years. Beginning with the arrival of Australian troops to the Korean Peninsula during the war and the aid provided by Australia. The Republic of Korea continue to holds this area of cooperation in our minds and hearts and we hope to carry this spirit forward in this negotiations. From the rise of an Imperially ambitious Japan in North Asia, the growth of Extremism in South Asia, and the resurgence of Communism in the Pacific North America, the threats to peace and stability in our region have grown and returned. While each of these threats requires a unique and careful strategy to address, as partners we can achieve a lot. We have the full and continued confidence that ROK-Australian relations will develop and meet to address this concerns with our international partners. To address these concerns, a robust agenda based on a mutually respectful relationship, fair trade, and military & intelligence cooperation is required." The Korean Prime Minister would listen as a trade staff handed a paper to him about the listed items. He read it before turning his head up to respond to the Australians. "With regards to the matter of trade, the Republic of Korea is hopeful that the Agreement on Trade can encompass Petroleum & Iron Ore while we are able to provide access to Australian Markets with electronics and computers as well as automobiles. It is important the bilateral trade relationship proves beneficial to both parties, and while the initial memorandum on trade may cover these four items with a zero-tariff policy, we hope that a Korean-Australian Free Trade Agreement can remove the barriers to trade completely. "

Prime Minister Howard would nod in agreement while his counterpart spoke before taking a sip of water before speaking "I would love to visit the President in Seoul, I believe it will be a brilliant idea if we meet within the next month to discuss how things are progressing and to see if there is anything else we can agree on that we cannot agree on today. We can definitely do the deal regarding Petroleum, Iron Ore for electronics, Computers & automobiles. Which port would you like Petroleum and Iron Ore delivered too? We can definitely agree to remove the tariffs completely for both Australian and Korean businesses." Prime Minister Howard would then take a short pause before passing over a file in a brown folder towards the Korean Prime Minister before continuing "In that file is a drawn up Trade Agreement for the Republic of Korea and the Commonwealth of Australia, I do hope it meets your standards. If there is anything you wish to add then do let me know and I shall pass it on to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to get amended"

"I hope that the next summit will be able to see the rapid progress of the agreements struck today. As well as develop ideas we propose today that are not fully agreed upon at this stage. I concur with the trade deal to encompass the listed items, and for the Republic of Korea, the Port of Incheon serves as our main port. Additionally, we would like to ask that we be able to import double the quantity of Petroleum and that the second ship deliver it to the Port of Busan. If this is possible of course. The South Korean Prime Minister after the break from the session would receive the trade agreement and shared it amongst his staff. While the technical staff reviewed and made notes on the document, the Prime Minister after the short pause would speak. "Thank you Prime Minister Howard for the well written proposal. We believe that the treaty is agreeable with two reservations. The first is that the trade deal is completed and includes the appropriate term of the Republic of Korea in the blank spaces. Our second reservation is over the use of both federal and state law, while we understand that Australia is a federal system, we do not know how exactly import laws differ between the states. Could you please clarify this? We would prefer that the trade agreement shall be governed and constructed by the respective trade and import custom agencies of the two parties. That their adjudication of individual dispute shall be subject to legal systems of both Korea & Australia and be done in an amicable manner. While the disputes of terms between the two parties is adjudicated where unable to resolve politically, through the International Court of Justice. We do not wish for Korean businesses to be subject to different import and sale laws between states and requiring different permits and requirements based on the state that they are trading in. These are our two areas of concern."

If we agree fully on the 0 tariff, then all states cannot add any tariffs. He looked at the Trade Staff who nodded to "We agree with the free trade agreement on the basis of zero tariffs for companies based and their main headquarters are in Korea and Australia." He read the note from a trade representative before speaking. "Once the treaty is finalized, we can pass it to the appropriate agencies for final review and then signing."

"That is great to hear" the Prime Minister paused while an aide exited the room and then re-entered shortly after with a finalized copy of the treaty placing it into the Prime Ministers hand who would then slide the file over to his Korean counterpart. "Before we move onto the next subject, I'd like to get your opinion on something." the Prime Minister paused clearing this throat, taking a drink of water before continuing "The Royal Australian Navy has been invited by the Republic of India on a joint operation within the Indian Ocean along with Argentina. If we were to deploy, would the Republic of Korea be willing to allow the Royal Australia Navy to dock in any chosen naval base of your choice to resupply? And do you have any objections to this operation as a whole?"

The South Koreans would receive the binder with the agreement looking it over, the Prime Minister would hand it over to a trade representative who would be tasked with having the document transmitted to the Trade Minister who had arrived in Buenos Aires. The Agreement would also be sent to the Ministries of Trade, Industry & Energy, and Foreign Affairs to begin formal review. "We'd be required to do some internal deliberations over our formal position to the mission...we weren't aware the Argentinians were in the region to be honest." A military official would transmit a note to the Navy Command updating their intelligence on the deployed forces in the region. "If the operations would be in the Indian Ocean, it wouldn't make in logistical sense, for refueling in Korean docks. While we are happy to to assist the Australian Navy with refueling and resupply on an agreement, this wouldn't seem necessary with the current area of operations." A military aide hand the Prime Minister a note responding after he had read it."Regardless, we still support the initiative for securing the Indian Ocean given the degradation in the security situation. I hope that we can do this as partners as well and under the umbrella of ROK-Australia security policies."

We'd ask for the Royal Australian Naval Vessel to dock into Korea on return from Operations, we could use this opportunity to dock into Korea to both refuel and restock as well as opening it up to the Korean Citizens to visit for publicity and to show of our friendship. We'd also be open for a Republic of Korea Naval vessel to dock in Australia for the same purposes. We would need 14 of these to exact, we are more than willing to pay outright for these vessels as well as draw up a contract which would benefit the Republic of Korea as well as the Commonwealth of Australia." another file would be placed in front of the Australian Prime Minister, which would then be passed over to his counterpart "Once you are in agreement with the contract, we can finalise it like we did with the Trade Agreement"

"Yes, well, I am certain the ROK Navy would be happy to discuss this agreement in depth. However, we would be happy to negotiate an agreement on mutual access to naval ports on a scheduled basis. This of course being mutual access for the ROK Navy to Australian ports and the RAN to Korean ports to expand our operational ranges. I think it would be mutually beneficial." He would look at the file, the military advisor would swap places with the trade advisor as the two looked over the document. "What vessel would the Australian Government like the Republic of Korea to produce, if you have perhaps the specifics of the vessels so we could make a more informed about what is being produced. However, we would be happy to discuss further for an agreement on Korea obtaining rights for production and export."
