The South Koreans would review the documents and the information listed on the vessels. A defense aid whispering into the ear of the Prime Minister as he read the proposal. "If I understand correctly, the production license would be between the two of us, allowing Korea to also produce the quantities it desires for personal use alongside the 14 planned purchases by Australia. Writing it down on his notes, he read them outlaid. On that, the 14 vessels costing $21,187,600.00 with 20% would be...$25,425,120 so around $355,951,680 in total for the 14 vessels. I believe this if a fair deal, and we would be happy to sign it after we consult Hyundai Heavy Industries. The military staff would temporary leave as they left to discuss the offer with their Minister as well as Hyundai Heavy Industries. Is this the only current proposal you would like to have Korean corporations assist in building?"

"At this moment in time it is just the Armidale Patrol Boat that we need producing, yes as mentioned in the topic the agreement grants the Republic of Korea to produce these patrol boats only for the Korean Navy as a a gesture of good will as you'd be doing us a favour. These will be vital craft to support the Australian Royal Navy!" the Minister would get up to look out the window before turning to his Korean Counterpart "There has been talks with your news agencies regarding North Korea? Could you bring us up to date on such? If you don't mind Mr Prime Minister?"

"That is fine, the agreement looks fair and mutually beneficial. I am certain we can get the full thing signed by Hyundai Heavy Industries when the final copy is presented. In the meantime, the situation in North Korea." The Prime Minister said his eyes trailing his Australian counterpart as he got up and walked around. "Well, sometimes it is just speculation the media likes to share." The Prime Minister said smiling. "What I do know is that President Kim and the North Korean leader Kim Jong-il are holding the inter-Korean summit in June. We are just negotiating the venue, but, we Koreans can only pray for good news for these events. Why, are you curious about something specific?"

With the Koreans agreeing to the agreement, the aide would bring the finalised copy to the table, placing it in front of the Koreans before returning to their seat allowing the Prime Minister to speak "With that being settled, and if Hyundai agrees to the production, when could we expect production to be started and completed?" the Prime Minister would listen to the Korean Counterpart before speaking in return "We are just curious because we stood next to the Republic of Korea in the dark times when the North Attacked. We do not wish for a repeat, we will stand with our Korean counterparts in anyway we can. Please if you can do let us know the outcome of such talks and if there is anything the Australian Administration can do to be helpful in these talks"

"We can have Hyundai Heavy Industries sign the agreement and fax their signature. However, you can consider the agreement otherwise agreed. I am certain CEO Han Young-seuk and the KDIA will be happy for this joint-venture. Once the agreement is signed, if payment is sent, the ships can be built as soon as possible. Yes, hopefully lasting peace on the Peninsula can be established with this meeting. I look forward to our joint cooperation and future opportunities. As you said, we were together during the North's invasion, in Vietnam with the Americans, and on many occasions. I hope we build on that legacy of shared cooperation and sacrifice."

"We shall have the money transferred shortly, the Australian Department of Defence thanks you for this. I also look forward to our continuous joint cooperation and future opportunities, is there anything else you wish to discuss?" the Minister paused allowing an aide to step out to authorise the payment to the Koreans before returning letting them Koreans know the payment has been sent

"We share the sentiment. I think the current major issues of trade and commerce have been addressed. We would like to discuss the current visa policies between our two countries. Primarily we wish to firstly establish a 30-day visa on arrival policy between Australia and Korea. Additionally, we would like to have a special visa created for Korean students ages 14 and above for the purposes of being able to study at various education institutes whether they are in universities, secondary education, and English academies. We hope these can be arranged and we can discuss those in more depth."

"I'm glad we could come to an agreement on the major issues of trade and commerce." the Minister paused allowing his counterpart to speak before replying "I can agree to a 30-day visa on arrival for all Korean Citizens bearing a Korean Passport, we can definitely get the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to add a category on the visa form to add in for Korean Citizens to study."

"That is perfect, I hope that the policies can be domestically prepared and enacted before the summer vacation in Korea starts. The vacation period starts mid-July and would be a beneficial arrangement to allow Koreans especially seniors to study English in a native-speaking country before the Korean College Entrance Exam in November. In regards to the 30-day visa on arrivals, I believe a two week timeline to implement the policy starting June 1 would be appropriate. An Australian national bearing an Australian Passport and not in violation of Korean or International Laws will be permitted to enter 30-days without a visa. If your government would like, we could allow the 30-day visa to be extended?"

"Wonderful, once this meeting is over I shall inform the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to amend the visa for Korean Students and I'll make sure they inform the Border Force to allow 30-Day visa's to be issued on arrival for all Korean Citizens bearing a Korean Passport as long as they haven't broken International and Australian Law" the Minister paused looking to the Korean Counterpart "I believe we should keep the 30-day visa for the mean time as this allow us to review this and iron out any problems we may have had, I believe setting a date for...." the Minister paused thinking "3 Months? This should allow us to make note of anything that could be improved and be spoken in our next meeting, what do you think?"

"That sounds appropriate. With regards to the extensions, this was about the specific visa being able to have multiple entries or single entries and extending the visa whilst in Australia. So if for example a Korean national is in Australia, and the visa is to expire soon they could extend the visa for another 30 days. Aside from that, we believe three months after implementation, so, sometime in September we can review the program and iron out issues that persist."

"We can definitely agree to that, however this will be on a case by case scenario until we meet September time. Is there anything else you'd like to discuss? the Minister paused while allowing the Korean Prime Minister to answer or begin talking about another topic. The Advisors and Aides would continue taking notes, which will allow for a comprehensive file on Australian-Korean Relations for future references

"I was hoping we could discuss the security situation in the region. The communist insurgency in India is very concerning, and the information publicly reported has not matched the on the ground information in India. I was wondering what is your governments position and how our two countries can cooperate to address the situation. Perhaps a joint statement can be issued in the conclusion of our session here, outlining the policy for Korea and Australia's views on the situation in India. As well as wider security issues, I hope you could let us know your security concerns and regional issues."

The National Security Advisor would place a folder in front of the Prime Minister who was listening to the Korean Counterpart, the Prime Minister would open the folder looking at the various notes regarding the situation within India. The Prime Minister grabbed his glass taking a tip before replying "The situation in India is a worry one, the Communist Insurgency uprising is definitely worrying with the amount of damage that has already been caused. The Department of Defence are already drawing up plans to evacuate civilians from both the Republic of India and Bangladesh in a joint operation. I believe they are also considering deploy Special Forces assets to the Embassy in both countries to retrieve embassy staff safely and close both missions down until the situation has sorted, its from my understand the Republic of Korea has already deployed forces to India? How is that going? Can the Department of Defence help in anyway?"

"The Situation is quite worrisome, more so over the lack of control the Indian Government appears to have. The Republic of Korea has deployed a civilian medical team to assist with the recovery in Mumbai, and at least two attacks have been staged against the unit. At this stage we're hoping to send a larger combat unit to ensure the safety of our medical teams and also to secure the area for future ROK Operations in the country. The ROK Air Force has created a number of emergency contingency plans to evacuate the nearly 10,400 Koreans living in India. Since the beginning of the insurgency, approximately 10,000 have left the country, the remaining 400 remain in India. While we have a plan, getting the Indian Government's cooperation remains the far more difficult task. If we can assist you in your evacuation efforts, we would try and find a way to utilize our limited assets in the region."

"It is very worrisome with the lack of control the Indian Government have, especially with the debit size they have at the moment. The Australian Government has a considerable amount of relations with the Indian Government so if you do need some help convincing them, then do let us know as we'll be speaking to them shortly about an Australian Deployment. I must thank you for the offer and if needed the Australian Administration will definitely ask for the help" the Minister paused receiving notification regarding the gift from the Koreans "Prime Minister, I thank you for the extra 14 vessels from our agreement but please let me issue a transfer for the cost price of those 14 vessels. You have done us an extreme amount of favours for producing the first 14, we don't want you going without for the 2nd 14"

"Yes, the situation is very dangerous. We are also working our own deployment of a combat battalion of 350 ground personnel including heavy equipment such as air defense, counter-artillery batteries, and a light helicopter unit. Although at this stage this is more so in the planning phase and requires careful coordination with the Indian Government. Should it become necessary, we believe a joint Australian-Korean operation backed by the regional powers in Asia and South Asia would be an appropriate response to the situation. Although, we hope it does not get to that stage." The Prime Minister smiled, before responding to the Australian Prime Minister's kind gestures. "They would hardly be a gift if you had to pay for them. Please accept the git as compensation for the sacrifices of your nation during the 06.25 War when the North invaded us. I know 14 boats are no where near the compensation for the sacrifices of blood 340 Australians and a thousand more who were injured. However, the sacrifices of Australia are not forgotten. We hope this will be beneficial in providing the security and expanded capabilities of the Navy and maritime security forces. I hope we can expand our cooperation and security relationship in the future."

The Prime Minister nodded and smiled at the response of the Korean Counterpart "It was our pleasure to stand by our Korean Brothers and Sisters in the war, and we would do it again within a heartbeat. The Australian People thank you for the gift you have given us." the Minister paused clearing their throat before continuing "A Joint Australian-Korean operation would be helpful, it would show two of the biggest nations that they care about their region safety and peace and would show that we don't need outsiders to help us."

"We are reassured by your kind words and while we hope that this occasion does not arise. As you said, the joint operation would be helpful, and one that reminds the globe of Asian and Pacific powers addressing their own regional affairs. This requires we be proactive and also pragmatic in addressing the regional challenges we face. We hope this high level of cooperation is maintained through out administrations both here and back home."

The Minister nodded once again in agreement with the Korean counterpart, the Security Advisor once again would place a file in front of the Australian Prime Minister "We'd also like to hope this high level of cooperation is maintained and improved on for nations for the Asia and Pacific Region but also those nations that have the same values as us. The Department of Defence have been working on something and we believe this would be the best start to such thing. The Commonwealth of Australia and the Republic of Korea share the same values and an eye to eye on every topic that is peace and security for our beloved region." the Minister paused once again sliding the file over the Korean counterpart. "I believe in that file would benefit both the Republic of Korea and the Commonwealth of Australia as well as the Pacific and Asia Region. Its been far to long since the Asia and Pacific Region have seen good, with the past having such organisations ruining the area. We'd like to invite the Republic of Korea to the organisation on the file given you too, if the Republic of Korea wishes to join they would be a founding member and help start and pave the way for the organisation along with the Commonwealth of Australia"
