INTERNATIONAL RACING CHAMPIONSHIP |
Gentlemen, Start Your Engines! The recently created International Motorsport Board has announced the creation of the International Racing Championship, which is going to conduct its first Season in 1997. Therefore, the Team and Circuit applications are hereby open for interested parties.
How is it structured? The Championship will start when at least 8 pilots and 6 circuits have been registered. All Nations can register 1 team containing up to 2 cars/pilots, and up to 1 national circuit to be included withing the championships calender and to represent an official race event. Each race will take place on the first days of each month (in-game), and between races, the teams will be able to develop their cars, fine-tune it for upcoming races or participate in un-official events. The Championship will have a Pilot's Ranking and a Constructors Team Ranking. Pilots and teams will receive points for both these rankings depending on their final position on each individual official race. At the end of the season, the pilot and team with the most points will be the Champions, and obtaing the main prize.
How will it work? Each team (up to 2 pilots or cars) will have at the beginning of the season the opportunity to assign 15 points to the development of its car. Each car has 5 attributes: ■ Acceleration ■ Braking ■ Speed ■ Maneuverability ■ Endurance Each attribute can be between 1 and 10, being 10 the highest possible "quality". Each attribute will have an direct impact on the cars performance depending on the circuit/track. The tracks, on which each race is held, will have attributes as well: ■ Length ■ Laps ■ Type ■ Curves ■ Straights Each car attribute correlates to a track attribute and interacts to establish the cars final "value" for the race. The higher the final value is for that race, the higher the chances for that car to perform well and rank higher. In addition, the pilot contributes with "skill points" to this final value. Pilot skill points are obtained through finishing races (official and unofficial), winning competitions and seasons. Finally, there is a small incidence of luck, manifested into each race as a randonmly assigned multiplier that will slightly affect each cars/pilots performance, both positively or negatively. These values will be introduced in a specialized software (xkonorate) which will determine the final result of the race, taking into account the preset values of each pilot.
Prizes The pilot and team who win the season, will be awarded a TBD (depending on number of participants) monetary prize. Track owners are also able to define special prices, monetary or not, for the races they host. Entry cost Season 1997: USD $250,000,000.00 per team (max 1 team per nation)
Value calculation tables Here you will find the "math" behind the racing, how each car attribute interacts with the different track attributes and how the development level of each impacts. Before each race, each driver will have a "skill value" calculated for the race, based on the cars attributed (the 15 assigned points), plus each driver will have their own personal bonuses applied. Depending on the track, the "skill value" will change, since the layout of each track has an impact of the cars performance. For example, cars with better speed will have a higher skill value with more straights, and a car with better endurance will have a higher skill value in races with more laps. This final "skill value" will be introduced into the simulation software, which will generate the race result.
Acceleration (straights)
Corner (curves) Multiplier * total # of curves.
Speed (straights) Multiplier *, 2 times the total # of straights.
Maneuverability (track type) Fixed value depending on the quantity of assigned points and the type of track the race is held. There are two types of tracks (street track and race track).
Endurance (length/laps) Multiplier * the track (length in km * laps).
Luck Randonmly assigned multipler to each car before each race. Affects the total value of the car for that race.
Pilot Skill Each car will have 1 pilot assigned at the beginning of the season. If there is no announced modification, it will be assumed that the same pilot is always behind the wheel of the car. A pilot will earn skills, which will be added to the cars final value for each race according to the following table:

Team Registration Each Nation can register 1 team consisting of up to 2 cars. Both will have the same initial configuration and are subject to the same modifications between races.

Please transfer the Entrey fee of USD 250,000,000.00 to the International Racing Championship (to Argentina until the IRC account is set up). Feel free to design your livery and submit it!
Track Registration Each Nation can register 1 track to be part of the Season Calender. The nation can freely determine the characteristics of the track he is presenting, having to use the pre-defined parameters as guide: - Track lenght: Min. 3km - Max. 7 km. - Laps: Min. 30 - Max. 60 - Type: Street track, Road Track or Race Track - Curves: Min. 4 - Max. 16 - Straights: Min. 4 - Max. 12
Code:
All race tracks have to be approved by the IRC to be included in the official calender. |
NOTICE Once all participants and tracks have been defined, a new post will be created to host the official event and the calender will be published together with the announcement of the prizes. The idea behind this is to add variety to the general roleplay. Players will be able to roleplay their preparations for a race, give interviews, make announcements, exchange pilots etc. Free will, people! I look forward to your applications! Race hosts have also a special role in giving flavor to the races by interacting with the teams, drivers, media and sponsors. |
