How it works |
Each SOVEREIGN STATE will be allocated 300 points which is equal to the amount of gold medal events there are. You will then be able to allocate the 300 points amongst the disciplines as you wish. If your sovereign state controls more than one olympic committee (i.e. Hong Kong and Macau for China, you occupy another country, British or American overseas territory) then you can submit multiple teams but you cannot exceed the 300 points across all of your teams combined. The more points you give to a discipline the greater chance you have of winning a podium position or several podium positions (excluding tournaments) in the gold medal events of that discipline. Each point will equal a "slot" in a randomiser software, more slots = greater chances. As there are more gold medal events for certain disciplines, such as Swimming and Athletics, than others it would be advised to attempt to match the amount of points to the amount of gold medal events in each discipline but it is entirely up to you. You are free to hedge your bets where you see fit. You can put 0 points for disciplines you don't wish to participate in. Due to the nature of the limited amount of nations all events will be gold medal events besides preliminary events for tournaments. Tournaments will involve an elimination process to the finals and the two nations who are versing each other will be competing against each other based on the amount of points they put in that discipline (you could be versing a nation with 6 whereas you might have only put 2 which puts you at a disadvantage). Additional points can be given to the following disciplines to increase your chances of a podium spot but they will not incur several podium spots for your nation because of the nature of them being a tournament sport:
Only podium position results (gold, silver, bronze) will be published, except for tournaments where the results of each match in both group stage and finals stage will be published. The nation to get first place on the medal tally at the conclusion of the games will receive $5 billion, second place will receive $2.5 billion and third place will receive $1 billion courtesy of the Gustaf Royal Trust. |
