Chief Antonio de Quadros Peixoto would answer the call, once it was properly encrypted and secure, he'd answer.

"Hello Mr Minister, I hope you are doing well?"

"Chief Quadros Peixoto, thank you for taking my call. The purpose of this contact is to have a follow up on the recent discussiones between our respective Heads of State regarding the execution of joint military exercises. We would like to propose a joint naval exercise on Atlantic waters, with the perspective of constituing in the near future a joint patrolling force, with elements from both the Imperial Navy and our own. This would allof for our forces to increase mutual trust, inter-operability, reduce deployment costs and finally provide more control over this vast area of sea."

After a...long wait, some Portuguese mumbling could be heard from the Brazilian side of the call as Peixoto returned to the telephone and sighed, after making sure the line remained encrypted, he started speaking once more.

"My Apologies Mr Fangio, We had to deal with a Pizza being delivered to the wrong address.

Onto the topic of Military cooperation, I believe that such joint training exercises would be beneficial to both of us, what are the specifications of this training exercise if you don't mind me asking?"

Peixoto looked out of his office's window.

"Nothing to apologize for, Minister. We would be interested in conducting a joint training operation on the Atlantic Ocean, conduct some joint navigation and cooperation protocols. This would help our navies and officers get used to one anothers practices and protocols and perform better in case we have to work together in the future against real threats to the political and economic sovereignty of South America.

We would be commiting one of our multirole frigates and could welcome a group of brazilian naval officers on board, maybe we could repeat this on one of your vessels.

We could also use the opportunity to gather some more detailed information on the maritime traffic in the Atlantic."

"Indeed, The Imperial Armada would be more than willing to commit one of their own vessels to this training exercise, such an exercise would greatly increase the coordination between our two navies."

The Chief wrote down a message on a sheet of paper as he spoke, preparing it to be sent to the High Command of the Imperial Navy.

"I will notify the Imperial Navy's Command and return to you on the specifics of their deployment to this Joint-Exercise, would there be anything else that you'd like to discuss Mr Fangio?"

"I was informed that the argentine navy is interested in testing our submarine warfare capabilities, for which we would like to deploy 1 or 2 submarines into a designated area and simulate a hunt by part of the brazilian navy. This way we can improve the dexterity and test the ability of our crews and systems to persevere under extreme circumstances, against a ntoable force such as the brazilian navy.

If your Government approves this, we will set up the details and include your Minsitry of Defence and Embassy here in Buenos Aires.

I understand this would also be a good opportunity for your fleet to gain practical training in close to real combat situations."
