Chancellor of the Exchequer, Edward Murray, has received instruction to review the economic relationship between the United Kingdom and other countries in order to protect private UK businesses abroad but to also seek dialogue to discuss investment further and as a stepping stone to further cooperation. Brazil is currently home to hundreds of operations from British Companies that pours a significant investment into the country; with a goal of increasing this and working closer with the Brazilian Government, an invitation was extended to the Empire of Brazil. Inviting members of their government to London to discuss Economic Cooperation between the two countries.

The Brazilian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Alongside the Chief of Economy and Finance and the Chief of International Relations, would confirm their presence in the meeting.

The two chiefs would depart from Brasília en route to London in a civilian flight, talking about the important points that would be discussed in this meeting...looking out at the British capital as they arrived at London city airport, upon taxing, they exited the aircraft, waiting for the arrival of the British Authorities, Chief Pedro Santana Galego had a smile on his face, he always enjoyed travelling to Europe, it was his favourite destination, even on business trips.

Following confirmation that the Brazilian Ambassador amongst other officials would be attending, a conference room was configured with the flags of the Brazilian Empire. Ensuring adequate seating, drinks and plates as the delegates were to be offered food for their stay. Naturally, the Brazilian Government were offered accommodation in London for the duration of their stay to allow time to rest after the discussions. At the airport, a multi-vehicle convoy was sat waiting for the two Chiefs to leave the aircraft. Red Police Vehicles sat each side of a black SUV with a suited figure holding the SUV door open for the guests. Introducing himself as their steward for the trip. When they entered, a briefing could take place: the meet was to take place at 11 Downing Street; accommodation can be provided if it has not already been sorted; food and drink will be offered.

A similar process occurred for the Brazilian Ambassador who was picked up from the Embassy. It was planned for both vehicles to arrive at 11 Downing Street at the same time. It was a short 30 minute trip from the airport, before the gates opened to Downing Street. Routine security was in place with armed police officers, each hosting MP5s. All going to plan, the two SUVs sat behind one another, containing the two chiefs and Ambassador. Stewards opened the doors to the vehicles where the Chancellor of the Exchequer waited to greet them. "Welcome to London" would be his first words, extending his hands to the guests which allowed a photo opportunity from the press who peered, desperate for a story. "Let's go in, shall we?" he smiled, prepared to lead into the building.

As they arrived at 11 Downing Street, the two Chiefs would shake hands with the Brazilian ambassador, before shaking hands with Chancellor Murray, Chief Galego smiled as they shook hands.

"
Yes let's, thank you for inviting us, It's always nice to come to one of the great capitals of Europe." He chuckled as the trio were taken into the building. The Brazilians wore similar suit designs, but with different colours, Chief Galego of International Relations wore a black suit with chalk stripes, while Chief Ramalho de Melo of Economics and Finance wore a navy blue suit and the Brazilian Ambassador a simpler black suit.

"It's a pleasure to have you here." complimented the Chancellor, leading the Brazilian Representatives to his private office. Now face to face, he was eager to get started. "I'll be honest, the UK Foreign Policy is vastly changing and a lot of people in government are not happy with the approach... or lack of approach, that the government has had with nations outside of Europe. Not for any particular reason either. We are hoping to change that with a new mandate from the Prime Minister to ensure we're opening dialogue with countries we feel are long overdue, especially with the rocky relations between European and South Atlantic countries with conflicts of interest in the last few years. I invited you here today to use this as an opportunity to discuss the relationship between the UK and Brazil through economic means. As you will know, there are hundreds of British Companies that have investments in Brazil, supporting jobs and manufacturing locally. So it's not exactly alien to have this conversation. I'd like to look into options to work with yourselves more often and ideally run through the aspect of some trade routes and potentially a free trade agreement, I have spoken to some other businesses that are interested in setting up manufacturing facilities in Brazil. I think these topics could be the start of positive relations if this is something you are interested in reciprocating?"

"Yes of course! Brazil is always looking for new economic and diplomatic partners, The Metropolitan Region São Paulo is Brazil most important economic centre in the whole country, and if I may, one of the most important in all of Latin America, and I'm sure British companies and their investment has certainly assisted for the Region to become so economically significant.

We could start with the topic of trade and move on from there, if that interests you, Chancellor Murray.
"

The Brazilians would respectfully sit down, ready to initiate the talks.
