Thank you for reaching out to me to discuss bilateral relations, I would be more than happy to begin discussions with the FEderal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and I would like to invite you to a meeting in my office at 32/34 Smolenskaya-Sennaya Square whenever you are next free. If you can, would you be able to send me a list of what is on your agenda for the discussion so that when I make my own agenda, we dont have to same talking points. Please let me know when you are able to begin the meeting.

His Excellency Gabra Melesse Araya would receive the reply from the russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and hastly report thi to the capital in Ethiopia. Only few hours later he would receive the green light from his superiors to head to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the recently reform Russian Empire in order to formally initiate bilateral diplomatic relations. Together with the confirmation and logistical details, the ethiopian diplomatic representation in Moscow would privately send a brief agenda proposal, including the topics it wished to discuss and leaving it open for russian suggestions.

At the Foreign Affairs building, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Igor Ivanov, would be waiting on the steps for the Ambassador to arrive. Once the Ambassador arrived, the Minister would move to greet him. Offering him a handshake. "Mister Ambassador, it's a pleasure to host you here. I hope the traffic wasn't heavy on your journey over here. Please, follow me inside, we have many things to discuss." When the Minister said this, he opened his hand towards the door, escorting the Ambassador inside and towards his office.

"Minister Ivanov, we are extremely grateful for making space in your surely very busy agenda for us. With the transition and the new regime you and your team must have surely a lot to deal with."

The ethiopian ambassador would politely shake the minister's hand and introduce the other diplomat who was accompaying him to this meeting and was mostly going to act as a note taker.

Once inside the private office, the ethiopia diplomat would continue.

"Traffic was acceptable, I mean, good enought for this time of the year. Having lived through few russian winters I can't really complain.

Indeed we have a lot to talk about, my Government puts Russia on a very high regard for your nations economy, diplomacy and global influence in general."
