In order to improve operational capabilities and to enhance coordination of differen ethiopian air and naval assets in sensible and strategic theaters, the Ministry of Defence has programmed the execution of a naval exercise that will include aerial and naval military elements.​

The exercise if to take place on ethiopian territorial waters, contiguas area, EEZ and international waters and their corresponding air spaces within sectors KL, KK and LK. Active patrol and routine operations will continue as planned.

Participating units and elements: - 1x Celestial-Class Frigate ENF Haile Selassie (F200) Vessel fully fueled, manned and supplied. x16 Harpoons antishipping missiles 1 x Mk 32 triple torpedo launcher (stern of ship) 2 x Mk44 Bushmaster II 30-mm chain guns and ammo 1 x SeaRAM CIWS (with Block I RIM-116 missiles) 1 × MK 110 57mm gun and ammo - 8x Valour-Class Frigates ENF Haile Selassie (F202) ENF Amha Selassie (F203) ENF (F204) ENF (F205) ENF (F206) ENF (F207) ENF (F208) ENF (F209) All vessels would be fully fueled, manned and supplied. Armament carried: Antishiping missile 8x MBDA MM 40 Exocet Block 2 SAM: 16 Umkhonto surface-to-air missiles Naval guns (including sufficient ammo): 1 Otobreda 76 mm gun 1 Denel 35mm Dual Purpose Gun (CIWS) 2 Mk1 Oerlikon 20 mm cannon 2 12.7 mm Rogue remotely operated guns ASW: 4 324 mm (12.8 in) torpedoes - 2x Type 206-Class submarine ENF (S900) ENF (S901) All vessels would be fully fueled, manned and supplied. Armament carried: 8x 533 mm torpedo tubes, 8x DM2A1 Seeaal (206); 12 mines (externally carried) - 1x Berlin-Class Replenishment Ship ENF (A112) Fully fueled, supplied, stocked and manned. - 3x Lockheed P-3C Orion Fully crewed, supplied and manned.
