A. OPERATIONAL PHASES

Objective: Position forces and establish command, liaison, ISR and air defence coverage prior to the arrival of POTUS.​

Phase II – Arrival, Transit & Departure Operations
Objective: Provide full protective coverage during POTUS arrival, movements, and fixed-site visits and departure.​

1. TASK

D620 FORBIN WILL DEPLOY TO THE ASSIGNED AREA OFF COLLEVILLE-SUR-MER AND PROVIDE CONTINUOUS SEA-BASED AIR AND SURFACE SURVEILLANCE AND LAYERED AIR-DEFENCE COVERAGE IN SUPPORT OF TASK FORCE EAGLE, EFFECTIVE ON RECEIPT OF THIS ORDER.​

1. EXECUTION:

A. PRE-DEPLOYMENT
ACTIVATE ALL ASSIGNED FIXED RADAR SYSTEMS TO OPERATIONAL CONDITION WITHOUT DELAY.​

B. DEPLOYMENT
DEPLOY TO WATERS OFF COLLEVILLE-SUR-MER (49.4959778681409, -0.84815163233806130) AND REMAIN ON STATION.
ACTIVATE PRIMARY AIR SURVEILLANCE SUITE AND COMMENCE CONTINUOUS TRACK.
MAINTAIN AAW POSTURE.​

B. REPORTING
REPORT CONTINUOUS TRACK PUBLICATION TO NATIONAL AIR OPERATIONS CENTRE.​

Following issuance of the OPORD, the Captain of Forbin directed all necessary preparations for departure and reviewed the vessel’s readiness status.

Forbin-class Frigate – Readiness Report:
Fuel & Stores: Fully fueled with aviation reserves topped up; complete ammunition load; non-perishable food and water stocked for a two-month deployment; crew rested, fed;
Armament: A50 VLS with 16 × Aster 15 SAMs and 32 × Aster 30 SAMs; 8 × MM40 Block 3 anti-ship missiles; 2 × MU90 torpedo tubes; 2 × Otobreda 76mm Super Rapid naval guns; 3 × Narwhal 20mm RWS;
Compliment: 26 officers; 110 petty officers; 38 sailors;
Aircraft: None;
Boats: None.

With preparations complete, the vessel cast off from the docks and cleared the harbor without incident. Once in open waters, she set course for the designated location at cruising speed (18kt) , activating both surface and air search radars to maintain full situational awareness within the area of operations.
