The British Delegate to the Global Assembly, Michael Miller, had been appointed to the 1996 Antarctic Summit to monitor the developing situation and, if need be, represent Britain's interest in the region.
During his time waiting for the Summit to start, he ensured to share small talk between the others.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed Sven Nored as the Special Norwegian Ambassador for the 1996 Antarctic Summit. He travelled to The Netherlands posthaste and arrived with a small team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as a small protective detail of three men who were unarmed, but skilled in martial arts.

Marc Kvet walks into the room, clutching his conference folder and numerous papers which he swiftly places onto his desk. The flag of Sweden, traditionally taken off the desk when the Ambassador is no longer in the chamber, is placed back into its holder.

He awaits further attendees.

Penelope Wensley would walk in, holding a series of briefcases with papers in there, surrounded by staff and advisors. She would look Marc in the eyes. Being the only two in the room, she was sure to death stare. It would be eerily quiet. She would let out an abrupt cough. An Australian flag would be placed into the holder.

The British Delegate wandered in and sat patiently. When no one was looking, he'd be sure to subtly place his hand in his bag and withdraw a McDonalds Hamburger. With the quietness of the room, the wrapper getting removed was perceived to be loud. He casually chowed down awaiting for the summit to begin.

The Delegates head quickly turned to the hostile Australian woman, his eyes widened with half a burger in his mouth. Almost that of a deer in headlights. Despite his mouth been occupied with the sensation of unhealthy food, he shook his head confidently. "I'm afraid not.." he spoke, a pickle dropping from his mouth and onto his lap. He was quick to pick it up and eat it before the Australian Representative rushes over to steal it.. fortunately he finished his burger in no time. "How's things going?" he looked between the two delegates. Connor Owen

Fernando Paulo de Noronha would enter the room, carrying his briefcase on one of his hands and a tray with four coffee cups on his other, placing both on his assigned seat, sitting down and placing his things on his table and the Imperial Brazilian Flag on its holder, he'd put one of the coffee cups where he assumed the Portuguese representative would be sitting on, and another where the Argentineans were assumed to sit by.

Once seated, the Diplomat looked around the room, before taking a sip of coffee...This was going to be a looong session...

Fernando would turn to look at the Australian Representative, drinking his coffee as he witnessed her death stare towards the Swedish Representative, looking at the two, before speaking.

"
Do you want a Coffe? I bought an extra one accidentally."

He'd offer, trying to break the Ice, no pun intended.
