With the complications between France and the United Kingdom having took an unexpected but sour turn, the British Ambassador to France would request either a phone call or a meeting with the respective person from the French Government to re-establish the relationship between the United Kingdom and Republic of France.
This was to iron out the confusion and backtrack on the hostility.

Ambassador to the UK, Victor DuPont who happens to be in Paris at the moment would privately invite The British Ambassador to France to meet with him at a private conference room conference at the Intercontinental Paris - LeGrand where he has reserved the room where they can talk privately.

The British Ambassador was grateful for the invitation, informing the British Government privately of his appointment with Victor DuPont in Paris which will allow the pair to hopefully iron out the status of the relationship between France and the UK. With that aid, he departed swiftly and it wasn't long until he arrived at LeGrand. Booking himself in at reception before entering the private conference room, waiting for Victor to arrive so they can discuss international affairs.

Ambassador DuPont, flanked by two security personnel is standing at the door of the conference room, waiting for the British Ambassador. When he sees the British Ambassador he moves forward and outstretches his hand for a firm, but polite handshake.

"Mister Ambassador, I am Ambassador Victor DuPont. It is a pleasure to meet you. Please come in."

With that the two security personnel each open a door to the conference room. It has been debugged, and there are no listening devices in the room.

Ambassador DuPont escorts the British Ambassador into the conference room, which is about the size of a large den. A large square-shaped table covered in a red velvet table cloth is in the center of the room. The chairs are placed specifically at the corners of one of the tables so that the two ambassadors are sitting close to each other as opposed to opposite sides of the tables.

Ambassador Dupont motions for the British Ambassador to sit and when both are seated says, "Shall we begin?"

The British Ambassador approaches DuPont, extending his own hand to meet with the French Representatives. "The pleasures all mine" he responded, entering the conference room and taking a seat before confirming he was ready "Absolutely."
He took out some paperwork, mostly to make notes on for himself with a pen. "I had requested a meeting to discuss the unexpected hostility between France and the United Kingdom. It's not something I, or my government wants to see occur nor develop into a strained relationship, so my intention is to hopefully put that behind us and continue on a path that works and enhances cooperation between France and Britain. This will give you the opportunity to express any problems you possess, and get them ironed out."

With his laptop out for taking notes Ambassador DuPont begins with, "Well, I will just begin with your word "hostility" towards the UK. You called out France publicly for "for throwing a tantrum when things didn't go our way" when our statement after the trial was anything such. We stayed there never should have been a trial to begin with and that one of the judges was clearly biased against France. That is why we left. We felt the GA was no longer compatible with our needs.

"It was the UK that further traded Barb's with us when we pointed out that your statement that it was better for France to stay in the GA "to promote cooperation"

If promoting cooperation why do you not attack the Nordic Council for going out on their own? Why can't France be afforded the same right and strike out on her own and find nation's with the same goals and values?"
