Minister Swaraj would contact her counterpart, Secretary Yusef bin Ahmad, in order to establish a working relationship and development of renewed relationships between their two countries. The strong Tamil culture in Singapore provides ripe opportunity for improved cultural interactions and educational opportunities between the nations as well.

In her reach-out, Minister Swaraj would request an in-person meeting with the Secretary, as there is no better way to establish relations than a good handshake and a hardy joke.

To the minister of India's foreign affairs or it's equivalent.

Greetings.

After proper counsel with the King and his advisers, I am responding to inform you that we agree to a meeting between I, Yusuf bin Ahmad, and Minister Swaraj. Our King has seen it fit to entrust me with the power to negotiate with the Indian people on behalf of the Kingdom of Singapore, as well as the King himself.

Due to the extremely hectic schedule of our King, who in his diligence handles many of the nation's foreign affairs, I would have to request a meeting in your country, rather than our own. Aside from the fact that we are hosting several foreign diplomats already, the King wishes for me to gain a perspective on the Indian people directly.

With regards,

Yusuf bin Ahmad
Secretary of Foreign Affairs
Kingdom of Singapore

The arrangements would be made for a quiet state reception for the Secretary and his entourage to meet with Foreign Minister Swaraj. As a part of a traditional meal, traditional dance entertainment would be arranged. Tamil, one of the languages of Singapore, would be sung as well.

The meeting would be the following morning, after the Singaporean delegation had an opportunity to explore the city of New Delhi.

Yusuf would arrive in New Delhi with a small entourage of advisers and a handful of private security dressed in plain clothes. Each would be equipped lightly for the occasion; a single semi-auto FN-Five Seven with a modest extra magazine of ammo. Neither the Secretary nor the King thought the government of India meant any ill-will, therefore it was respectfully decided to arm themselves lightly.

The reception would be attended by all of his entourage, including his security team, and it appeared the Secretary was having a good time. Many a genuine compliment would be extended towards Minister Swaraj on the performances, food, and his country.

The following day would begin with a moderate amount of exploration around New Delhi before finally making his way to the meeting. He was there for business, after all, and his King was extremely interested in what the Indian government had to say.

He would greet Minister Swaraj with a handshake before sitting himself down and placing several folders onto the table. "I appreciate the hospitality, Minister Swaraj." He'd begin, his expression stoic as ever. "Now, shall we begin?"

"My pleasure. Please take a seat." An aide, one of the more senior interns, would be given the opportunity to present a brief regarding the long and rich history of Indo-Singaporean relations. Upon completion, Swaraj would begin her comments. "The time for renewed friendship has begun. A rich tapestry has been shown here today, but the future can build from it. What I would like to develop are stronger cultural exchanges for students: immersion programs, stronger university research coordination, and streamlined student visas between our nations. This foundation, a rarity in today's quick-moving diplomatic state, will see true mutual cooperation in years time. Long after you and I have retired, my new friend. Your thoughts?"

Yusuf would nod along as his counterpart began discussing his piece. "I think that is a splendid idea, Minister Swaraj. I am in agreement that stronger cultural exchanges between our respective students can go a long way towards increasing ties, as well as exposing our cultures more in-depth to each other as a byproduct as this as well. Although to take it a step forwards, perhaps we should extend this towards non-students as well? The subcontinent is a large market full of consumers, resources to be exported and cultural history that goes back thousands of years. I suggest an agreement of free-trade to open up both our markets fully."

"A FTA would serve our countries well. India, in that same line of thinking, always wants to properly defend its interests. Should we move forward and our economies become stronger together, we would like for our respective militaries to work together. This can be incorporated into a fuller military, cultural & economic agreement between our nations."

Yusuf spends a moment in thought, but only briefly before he speaks up with the same soft smile. "I believe we can come to an agreement on military cooperation, Minister Swaraj. With the signing of free trade and the incentivization of tourism and cultural exchange, my King would not be opposed to further agreements regarding mutual defense. I would suggest on his behalf the idea of joint-training exercises as a means of improving readiness, as well as getting our armed forces accustomed to working alongside eachother."

"We can leave those discussions to our defense-minded counterparts, my friend." Swaraj's aide would bring out a few documents detailing the agreements of a Mutual Defense & Optional Aggression Pact, with free-trade and cultural provisions, to provide her counterpart with hard copies to review.

Yusuf reviewed and the signed the documents before marking them with the KoS royal seal. "And it is done." He'd remark with a smile. "I appreciate your hospitality during my stay here in India. Our people will not forget the goodwill you've shown."

"It has been our pleasure Minister," she said, as her aides began ushering the delegation out of her office. The documents would be signed by the President shortly after.
