1. Executive Summary

The French Arms Export Office is pleased to submit this proposal to the Imperial Korean Air Force for the manufacture, supply, and in-service support of the Airbus A310 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft.

This proven platform, derived from the successful Airbus A310 commercial airliner, offers exceptional value by combining strategic air-to-air refuelling (AAR) capability with long-range passenger and cargo transport capacity. The A310 MRTT represents a cost-effective, reliable, and interoperable solution, leveraging Airbus’ extensive experience with the A330 MRTT and other refuelling platforms.

2. Technical Overview

The Airbus A310 MRTT is a strategic, multi-role aerial platform bBuilt upon the robust Airbus A310-300 airframe.

Refuelling Capability: Equipped with a centreline boom system and underwing hose-and-drogue pods, allowing flexibility to refuel a wide range of receiver aircraft.
Fuel Capacity: Up to 78 tonnes.
Transport Capability: Configurable for high-density troop seating for 270 personnel, medical evacuations to carry up to 56 stretchers, or cargo operations up to 38 tonnes.
Avionics & Mission Systems: Enhanced military-grade avionics and refuelling operator console with real-time data links.
Service life: 30+ years.

3. Pricing & Commercial Terms

The total per unit price is ₣100 million.

I am required to inform you that in accordance with French arms export regulations an arms export request must be submitted and receive the approval from the Prime Minister. Should this bid be selected, we will be pleased to facilitate and support this process. Considering that this bid relates to an enabler, I do not forsee any delay in acquiring such approval.

We are confident that this tender fully meets the requirements of the Imperial Korean Air Force.
