As the caravan skidded into Charlie Field, the air would be filled with the jet engines of dozens of jet fighters and bombers launching to attack Point-Noire. Waiting at the field, about 360 of the Congolese Counter-Terrorism forces would be spread out among any defensible point. Only 120 of these would be visible to the Poles, coming out of hiding places to guard the entire Polish delegation as they were rushed to a Shaanxi Y-8K waiting on the tarmac, fully fueled, crewed, and with a short window to take off before it would have to be shoved aside for more bombers to fly out.

"Mr. Oyselobo. This aircraft can take you and your entire delegation safely back to Oslo, or you may choose to have yourself or some of your company remain here for the duration of the war. We have facilities out of the way of the war where we could house you, and ensure your safety. We do need help in mediating our negotiations with the Republicans."

The intensity of the drive to Charlie Field coupled with the explosions heard back at the embassy had driven ambassador Oyselobo almost to a panic attack. He was carefully making each and every breath. Focusing on the inhale and exhaling to calm himself. “If I could only get my heart rate down.” he thought to himself. He was seated next to Security chief Holmen who was quickly assessing the situation around them when he noticed the ambassador breathing like a child's goldfish who had hoped from its bowl.

“Ambassador focus on me.” ordered chief Holmen grabbing both of his hands. Both of his hands now icy cold, he was keenly aware of the situation. He had seen this happen during his time in the Norwegian Army. The fear and the panic were all too real. “You are safe, here we are heading to an airfield. We will be returning home shortly. Gasps returned to normal deep breathing as the ambassador closed his eyes.

Upon arrival at the airfield, chief Holmen took charge and was told by the Congolese delegation of the situation and was given the option of leaving that night or staying to help with peace negotiations. “The ambassador is not well and we have been out of touch with or foreign ministry for far too long. I think it best if we head back to Norway as soon as possible.” explained the now sweat-covered chief Holmen. But I want to thank you and your men for getting us this far safely.”

He would give a curt nod before a number of the ground crew would help the delegation find seating, bring on food and drink for them, and then file off before saluting the departing aircraft. Two Mirage 2000-5 Mk2s would take off alongside it, and escort it until they reached the No-Fly zone over the Republican territory. At this point, a radio message would be sent out to the American fleet.

"This is Capitano Bonnet, flying the Congolese Y-8K out of Kinshasa. We have onboard a Norwegian delegation that we are escorting back to Oslo. No armed aircraft will enter the no-fly zone, do we have permission to pass over?" ( Odinson )

If permitted, the fighter aircraft would drop away, and the flight would continue to Oslo.
