We would be willing to sell both the Skjold-class corvette and the Svalbard-class offshore patrol vessel to the French Navy. They are both extremely capable vessels. The Svalbard-class has a sales price of $150,000,000.00 per unit. The Skjold-class has a sales price of $180,000,000.00 per unit. You can contact our Minister of Defence, Anne-Grete Strøm-Erichsen for purchasing or any additional questions.
I do agree that intelligence sharing could be of great use to both of our nations. Our own Norwegian Intelligence Service is currently being regrouped after years of mismanagement. I would love to once they are prepared to assign a permanent liaison from our Intelligence service to work alongside your Intelligence service here in France. I would also insist that we have a French Intelligence liaison come to work alongside us in Norway. Both sides could greatly increase their operational capacity and learn much from one another.
Secretary Oskarsen tapped Minister Støre on the arm slightly, reminding him of the time. He had many phone calls to return and emails to send. The work was never really over.
I’m afraid we are going to have to call it a day here, Minister Lecomu. This has been one of the most productive meetings I have had in my career. You have been a wonderful diplomat and host and would love to visit again when I have more time to really enjoy what Paris has to offer. We will be planning to host a European Summit to discuss with other nations what should be included in this European Union Treaty. It will be held next month at Grand Hotel Oslo. We would hope you would attend.
