Background:
​

With the rising tensions between Thailand and Myanmar/Burma, Poland initiated high level talks between the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to begin working on a diplomatic solution towards the developing crisis. With the combined effort of the United States, United Kingdom, and Poland working on a diplomatic solution, it was decided that having a military presence in the area would be best response in case things went sour in the region.

Objective:

1. Regroup at Pearl Harbor with American and British forces
2. Perform training exercises while monitoring the situation developing in Thailand/Myanmar
3. Promote friendly relations between the United States, the United Kingdom, and Poland during deployment to Pearl Harbor

Deployment

Having deployed from the Mediterranean Sea, Task Force AmberSentinel would have proceeded through the Suez canal and carefully moved through the Indian Ocean through the Timor Sea and the Arafura Sea before moving into the Coral Sea and then into the Pacific Ocean. During this transit time, the ships would carefully navigate to ensure they avoided territorial waters of nations. The ships would maneuver so the two submarines would be submerged at the lead, approximately two miles ahead of the rest of the fleet and two miles apart from each other. The Celestial-class Frigates would form a screen around the OKP Huragon, which would be located at the center of the formation while the OKP Baltyk would be half a mile to the rear of the OKP Huragon. Each Celestial-class frigate would maintain a mile distance from the center of the flotilla. The vessels would not exceed the speed of 15 knots.

Each ship would carefully monitor their passive radar and sonar terminals to ensure that they did not collide with any obstacles, man-made or natural, during this transit across the oceans. After crossing the equator for the first time in the Indian Ocean, each ship would place themselves in a holding pattern and perform the standard line-crossing ceremony where members who had not crossed the equator before were dunked into the ocean four times before resuming the trip. During the trip, each ship would ensure they were fueled and provisions stocked by the OKP Baltyk, each taking great care to ensure they would not collide with each other or with other members of the task force. Upon arriving at Pearl Harbor the commander of the Task Force, Komandor Anatol Pruszkowski would contact the port authority of the harbor and announce themselves and ask for permission to dock.

HTMS Loe Thai Patrolling the Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) of Indonesia and Timor Leste

The strategic area encompassing OI, PI, OH, and PH had been a critical zone for Operation Guardian Harmony's patrolling missions, primarily due to the dense traffic of commercial vessels traversing these waters. The Timor Sea, situated between PI and PH, lay strategically between two bustling straits, forming a vital conduit between Southeast Asian and Australian waters and the broader expanse of the Indian Ocean.

At that juncture, the Naresuan-class Frigate of the Republic Thai Navy Coast Guard, HTMS Loe Thai, was actively patrolling the vicinity of OH and PH. The vessel, at the zenith of its operational life, boasted systems that were not only optimized but also modernized to align with the global forefront of maritime technology. These systems, including the ship's radar with a 270-kilometer range and Electronic Support Measures (ESM) with a 100-kilometer reach, were diligently monitored, with surveillance data being intercepted, analyzed, recorded, and relayed back to headquarters. This high-tech vigilance was complemented by the presence of at least one dedicated sailor on deck, ensuring a constant, watchful eye over the seas.

The crew aboard the HTMS Loe Thai was in prime condition. They were well-rested, well-nourished, and received the highest level of care, both physically and mentally, tailored to optimize their innate capabilities. Each crew member was an elite sailor, a product of the rigorous 16-week training program of the Republic Thai Navy, which covered an extensive range of skills and scenarios. Their exceptional readiness was further enhanced by substantial field training and deployment experiences, which had ingrained in them a profound understanding of the harsh realities of war and military operations. This made them paragons of readiness, fully prepared to respond to any eventuality, incident, accident, or engagement that might arise.

The Naresuan-class Frigates would be equipped with 6 × Decoys Terma SKWS (C-Guard) for 24 x Terma DL-12T and 24 x Terma Mk.137 each, and ESM ITT ES-3601 (AN/SLQ-4), and ECM Type 984-1 noise jammer & Type 981-3 deception jammer, which both could reach the effective range of 80 to 100 kilometers. Their armament included 1 × 5 in/54 (127 mm) Mk 45 Mod 2 naval gun with 500 rounds, 2 × 30mm MSI-DSL DS30MR automated small caliber gun, 8 cell Mk.41 VLS for 32 x RIM-162 ESSM, 8 × RGM-84 Harpoon SSM launcher, and 2 × Triple Mark 32 Mod 5 torpedo tubes.

Owing to the strategic importance of the Thai Patrolling Operation and the widespread endorsement of the Southeast Asia's Security and Stability Act, B.E. 2546 (2003), the Thai Coast Guard had established robust cooperative relations with all Southeast Asian nations, barring Myanmar. This exclusion stemmed from recent tensions, which, fortunately, had been effectively de-escalated by the Thai Government. In its operations across Southeast Asia (SEA), the Thai Coast Guard had become a central node for communications spanning various authorities and civilian channels, efficiently coordinating tasks ranging from law enforcement to environmental preservation, and extending to anti-piracy efforts and escort missions.

The presence of the Polish fleet, distinguished by its formidable size, unidentifiable persona, and unconventional navigation pattern, notably traversing from OH to PH, had not gone unnoticed. This was particularly true in the heavily trafficked maritime corridors of OI, PI, OH, and PH, crucial conduits in Southeast Asia's marine routes. Despite any presumptions to the contrary, the sheer scale and movement of the Polish fleet made it a conspicuous entity in these waters. Consequently, it was inevitable that the Thai Coast Guard, vigilant and adept in monitoring regional maritime activities, would detect such an imposing presence. This surveillance capability was further enhanced by the Coast Guard's advanced monitoring systems and extensive network of informants across the region, ensuring no significant movement remained undetected.

During Operation Guardian Harmony, which aimed to ensure a safe, cooperative, and transparent maritime environment in Southeast Asian waters, the HTMS Loe Thai played a pivotal role. This operation had garnered widespread regional endorsement, especially from key players like Singapore, due to its mutual benefits. Therefore, the HTMS Loe Thai was meticulously vigilant, ensuring that no deceptive movement within its surveillance radius went unnoticed.

From the instant the Polish fleet emerged on the radar screen, every movement was meticulously monitored. The vessel's advanced tracking systems, equipped with state-of-the-art radar and satellite communication, captured every detail of the fleet's position and activities. This information was not only recorded and analyzed in real time by the crew but also promptly reported to regional maritime authorities through secure communication channels.

In line with the established protocol of the Southeast Asian nations, the presence of the Polish fleet was publicly broadcast over the maritime communication channel. This alert was intended for any nearby authority vessels to share information and maintain regional security. The HTMS Loe Thai, adhering to these protocols, also endeavored to establish a communication line with one of the Polish vessels. While the preference was for a secure line, open communication was a norm in such scenarios, reflecting the operation's commitment to transparency and cooperation.

"Unidentified vessels, unidentified vessels. This is HTMS Loe Thai of the Republic Thai Navy Coast Guard operating on behalf of the Southeast Asian nations. You are traversing near or heading toward the Exclusive Economic Zone of Indonesia and Timor Leste. Please state your identity, maritime affiliate authority, the reason for such a concentration, and whether you need an escort or are in a hostage situation."

The surface radar stations on the Celestial-class frigates, the OKP Huragon, and the two Sohn Won-Yil-class Submarines were all monitoring their aerial radar, surface radar, and sonar during their transit and would pick up on the Thai ships as they closed within 200km of their grouping. While it may have been unusual for the Thai ships that Polish vessels were traveling through or near the EEZ of these South East Asian countries, Poland and been careful to not intercede on any territorial waters and were safe to transit through the EEZ of these nations. With that, however, the commander of the Polish Task Force would respond to the Thai vessels in english.

"HTMS Loe Thai, HTMS Loe Thai, this is OKP Huragon of the Polish Royal Navy. We are Polish naval vessels conducting lawful military exercises outside of territorial waters. We are operating in due regard as required under international law."

That was all the Polish vessels would state as they continued their heading towards the open water of the Pacific Ocean. As they had not crossed into any territorial waters and were travelling through or near Exclusive Economic Zones, they had no need to state more than they already had to the Thai vessels. Immediately after speaking to the Thai vessels, combat controllers would be summoned to the CIC in preparation for any situation that could escalate. Weapon systems would remained powered passively while the surface and aerial search radars would switch to active mode to better monitor the Thai naval ships.

As the Thai Naresuan-class Frigate, HTMS Loe Thai, from the Republic Thai Navy Coast Guard, positioned itself within two hundred kilometers of the Polish vessel, it established a communication line. The nature of this line—secure or otherwise—was left to the discretion of the Polish counterpart. Regardless of the choice, the communication was meticulously recorded, a standard practice augmented for this encounter. The recording included not just the audio track but also extended a comprehensive compilation of data gathered by the Thai vessel's systems, which were fully active and functioning at peak efficiency.

At that moment, every piece of data—ranging from navigational details to environmental readings—was captured, analyzed, and then seamlessly relayed back to the Thai Navy Command. This information was also shared with other vessels in the vicinity and regional maritime authorities to maintain a cohesive and informed network. Simultaneously, all Thai personnel aboard the HTMS Loe Thai were in a state of heightened readiness. Their physical and mental condition, a result of rigorous training and extensive experience, was at its zenith, ensuring that they were prepared for any exigencies that might arise during this critical operation.

Please ensure your freedom of navigation and innocent passage so as not to disrupt any commercial or civilian maritime traffic. Thank you for cooperating."

The Polish fleet would continue its plotted course through the region, continuing on its way towards it rendezvous at Pearl Harbor. The ships would maintain their spacing and speed of fifteen knots as they travelled. The ships would continue to monitor their active sonar and radar to keep tabs on the Thai warship as they pass through the Timor and Arafura Seas. The ships would collect the data on the ships and have them securely encrypted and readied for transmission back to the Ministry of National Defense for dissemination to the other ships in the Polish Royal Navy and into the various training schools. The two submarines would also record audio of the HTMSS Loe Thai travelling in the water and prepare the same for encryption and transmission once they were safe to rise to the surface. These recordings would be used for future submariners and submarines operating in the area. The audio transmission between the two nations would be recorded for future study and dissemination to the admiralty.

As the ships neared Pearl Harbor they would undoubtedly be greeted by USCG vessels patrolling around the Pacific as part of the operations held there by the United States. Upon reaching a contact point within the USCG vessels they would air a message to them through a secure communication line.

"This is the OKP Huragon travelling with Poland's 1st Flotilla. We are seeking accommodations at Naval Station Pearl Harbor under the directive of the Ministry of National Defense and the Department of Defense.. I repeat. This is the OKP Huragon travellling with Poland's 1st Flotilla and we are seeking accommodations at Naval Station Pearl Harbor under the directive of the Ministry of National Defense and the Department of Defense."

USCGC Munro, a Celestial-class cutter, detected the Polish fleet via radar and sonar. The position of the Polish fleet, as well as the number of vessels (and submarines) and their types, were immediately relayed via secure channels to Coast Guard Base Honolulu. The cutter then began reeling in its AN/SQR-19 sonar. The cutter immediately changed its heading so that it would be on a direct course towards the Polish fleet. The cutter radioed in to the Polish fleet on the correct and secure frequency so that they could communicate with each other.

"OKP Huragon, this is the United States Coast Guard Cutter Munro. We have been ordered to escort your fleet to Naval Station Pearl Harbor. Standby for further instruction, over."

The cutter would continue to monitor the Polish fleet's fire control systems while they were directed towards Hawaii. Once they were 40 miles from the mouth of Pearl Harbor, the Polish fleet was ordered to slow to 18 knots. USCGC Munro escorted the Polish fleet up to the mouth of Pearl Harbor. The Polish fleet was further slowed to just a few knots and directed, one ship at a time, how to enter Pearl Harbor with the escort of tugboats. The Polish ships would be directed to the Middle Loch and East Loch where they could safely drop anchor. If any of the ships were in need of minor repairs or replenishment, they would be directed to Southeast Loch and Quarry Loch where they could dock and replenish with the assistance of U.S. Navy sailors.

Once the entirety of the Polish fleet was safely anchored or docked in Pearl Harbor, the operational commander of the Polish fleet was invited to Pacific Fleet Headquarters to meet with Admiral Daniel Greene, commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet. The meeting would be official, but informal given the nature and semi short notice of the meeting. Admiral Greene wanted to discuss Polish intentions in the area, as well as American intensions. The USCGC Munro would replinish herself and then return to her patrol route around Hawaii.​

OKP Huragon, along with the rest of the fleet, would continue to utilize their active sonar, surface radar, and aerial radar as they were escorted by USCGC Munro towards Naval Station Pearl Harbor. However, the weapons would remain on passive monitoring mode so as to not alarm their American compatriots.

"USCGC Munro, this is OKP Huragon. We acknowledge your orders and will abide all lawful orders. We are awaiting instruction, over."

The Polish fleet would carefully and meticulously follow all instructions given to them by the USCGC Munro as they approached Pearl Harbor and would maintain a safe distance from each ship and the USCGC vessel. The vessels, having been meticulously maintained by the OKP Baltyk, would not need replenishment or refueling at the current time but the OKP Baltyk would have itself maneuvered to the Southeast Loch and Quarry Loch, along with the OKP Huragon which would need its aviation fuel reserves refilled. While the ships were in dock, crew would go over general maintenance of systems and be allowed to send emails to family members as long as they did not reveal any operational data, which would be looked over by the Office of State Protection Department I to insure nothing regarding the operation was revealed.

Once the entirety of the fleet was safely anchored and docked, Komandor Anatol Pruszkowski would accept the invite to the Pacific Fleet Headquarters for a debriefing with the Admiral Daniel Greene. Komandor would be dressed in his summer white with short sleeves uniform while he was accompanied by Podpułkownik Kuba Michalski, commander of the Formoza detachment assigned to the OKP Huragon. The two men would be accompanied by two members of the CIC that would assist with the debriefing from their encounter with the Thai vessel near Indonesia.

Admiral Daniel Greene was waiting Komander Antanol Pruszkowski and Podpulkownik Kuba Michalski at Pacific Fleet Headquarters. After the Polish officials made it through security they were escorted to the admiral's office where he was waiting, along with a representative from the Marine Corps.

"Good evening, gentlemen," Greene said as they walked in. "I am Admiral Daniel Greene, this is Colonel Matthew Hunt, commander of the Third Marine Regiment stationed in Hawaii... Please take a seat," he said. The admiral sat behind his desk while Colonel Hunt sat at a chair beside the executive desk. Pruszkowski and Podpullkownik (who had fashionably long and easy-to-misspell surnames) had chairs set for them in front of the admiral's desk.

"I hope that your journey to Hawaii wasn't too eventful," Admiral Greene said. He was in his service dress whites while Colonel Hunt was in his Marine Corps equivalent - they were dressed for an official meeting, not a ball. The Poles were offered refreshment before the Admiral continued.

"The commander-in-chief," Greene said, in reference to President Gore, "wants to exhaust all peaceful options before we result to violence. Right now, the objective of the United States is to prevent, or stop, an armed conflict between Burma and Thailand. Such a conflict would threaten the flow of global trade and would not be in the interest of the American People - at the same time, I'm told, we also don't trust the Thai government to install a real democratic government in Burma, despite our historical differences with the Burmese. We think the Thai government wants to stretch their military muscle, at best, or is truly interested in imperialism, at worse. For this international conflict the United States Navy and Marine Corps have three missions:
One: To act as a deterrent to open hostilities between Thailand and Burma.
Two: To be fully and utterly prepared to intervene directly if war were to break out between Thailand and Burma.
Three: To protect diplomatic negotiations between Thailand, Burma, and mediatory nations such as the United States, Poland, and the United Kingdom.

"With all of that being said, I can confirm to you that the Navy is preparing a significant naval deployment to the area. The Navy, and the Marine Corps, welcomes the assistance of allied foreign services, including that of Poland. What do you bring to the table, Commander, and what is the intention of your government and the Polish Navy?"​

The summer white uniforms were similar to the service dress whites of their Amercan naval compatriot. The Lieutenant Colonel equivalent in charge of the Formoza Task Force, however, was dressed in a combat utility uniform of the Pantera camouflage pattern. The start difference in their uniforms set their respective jobs apart from each other. The Komandor was a naval man in charge of thousands of men. The Podpulkownik was a man who lived under the threat of combat and had decided to not bring a service uniform when his combat uniform was the most likely thing to be utilized. He regretted that decision now. The two enlisted personnel who worked within the CIC would be wearing their working blue seaman uniform in short sleeves

"I am Komandor Anatol Pruszkowski and this is Podpulkownik Kuba Michalski. The other two enlisted personnel are from the CIC of the OKP Huragon. The journey was not hard on our crews, however, we did have a run in with a Thai Coast Guard vessel near Indonesia. These men have some technical data to share with your navy once the meeting has concluded." At the offer of refreshment, the Komandor and the Podpulkownik would raise their hand, palm towards the Americans, in a polite rejection.

"Poland's goals are similar to that of your Commandor-in-Chief's. We are to monitor the situation as it evolves alongside the American and British task forces while also attempting to promote a peaceful resolve by a show of force in the theater. Lastly, we are to promote peaceful relations between the participating nations. As for what we bring to the table, sir, it's quite the deployment for Poland. We are bringing one Dokdo-class Amphibious Assault ship loaded with eleven combat Sokols and three SAR Sokols. Escorting the OKP Huragon, are seven Celestial-class Frigates, which I am sure you are fully aware of their capabilities, and two Sohn Won-Yil-class submarines. We also have the OKP Baltyk which is the replenishment vessel for this operation. Stationed onboard the OKP Huragon are just under four hundred members of the Special Operations group JW 4026, Podpulkownik is the commanding officer of this detachment. The Royal Navy and Formoza welcome the opportunity to work in a multi-national effort alongside the United States and the United Kingdom."

"Plans can change, but right now the Nimitz will be heading towards southeast Asia. American carrier strike groups are capable of operating in any ocean, basically anywhere in the world. If your fleet can sustain itself, we would welcome you to join us in southeast Asia. However, another option would be to have your fleet forward-deployed to Guam where they could patrol the area. You know your fleet best, commander, but I think that your Celestial-class frigates would be capable of operating in conjunction with our fleet near southeast Asia. We would operate as a deterrent between Burma and Thailand, but we would be operating with the full intention to intervene if war broke out between the two countries. What do you think would be the appropriate way for your forces to contribute?" he asked.

With the replenishment of supplies thanks to your Naval Station, I feel our vessels will be able to maintain this posture for an indefinite amount of time. The only limiting factor would be the morale of the sailors aboard the vessels who have never experienced a deployment lasting more than six months on the seas. To be transparent, Admiral." The Polish Naval Commander, the equivalent of an American Captain, would speak plainly with the American superior officer. The Podpulkownik, the equivalent of an American Lieutenant Colonel, would speak up as well. "The teams assigned to act as the security force of the vessels are more than equipped for an extended deployment aboard the vessels and there should be no issues on our end."

Komandor Anatol Pruszkowski would speak again, after the Podpulkownik spoke. "Thank you for giving us the option sir but I feel like the capabilities of our ships would be squandered with patrolling around Guam. As you are aware of the capabilities of the Celestial-class frigates, we are also keenly aware of the capabilities of our OKP Huragon. I sincerely believe the men are prepared to endanger themselves to protect the innocent civilians of Thailand and Myanmar from an illegal war and land grab. Hundreds of thousands of lives are at stake, sir, and we would be more content with having an active role in protecting those lives. Sir."

Admiral Greene had heard what he needed to hear when his polish colleagues made it clear that Poland would be willing to directly intervene, even if it meant endangering themselves, if Thailand launched an invasion of Burma. The Defense Department was concerned that, when it came down to it, the Polish forces might get cold feet and either remain neutral in open waters, or try to slow down an American response to a Thai invasion of Burma. However, hearing that the Polish were this dedicated would ease minds at the Pentagon.

"Frankly, I agree. I think that your fleet would be a valuable addition to allied forces in the area. You have my blessing and the blessing of the Navy to continue to Guam," Greene said. "Carrier Stike Group One will rendezvous with your fleet somewhere near Guam. From there, we can all proceed towards Thailand and Burma... Well gentlemen, I am happy to see that we are on the same page. If there is nothing left to discuss, please finish replenishing and refueling your fleet and, when you are able, proceed to Guam if you would like to coordinate with the Navy," he said. Admiral Greene chose his words carefully, speaking as an ally would and not necessarily as a superior officer would - the United States and Poland were working together in this mission, and he knew it would not be appropriate to boss around the Polish or treat them as inferior, especially when they have put forth all of this effort to make a meaningful deployment to the Pacific.​

"The Polish flotilla will maneuver directly to Guam as soon as replenishment is complete. We will regroup with Carrier Strike Group One once we are there and begin patrolling patterns to insure the security of the fleets while we are there. Despite us using this operation as a cooperating mission, I feel I must make a formal note that the Polish Navy will defer to the U.S. Navy for orders unless none are specified. It would be a mistake for myself, and for the Kingdom of Poland, to not defer to the experience of the American navy. This should create a clear chain of command during the operation and ensure there are no misunderstandings in regards to orders in the upcoming operations outside of Guam and Thailand."

Should the American admiral have nothing further to say, the Polish commander would offer a salute before returning to his vessel, the OKP Huragon, to oversee the replenishment and to allow his men to contact home utilizing encrypted emails that would be reviewed by the Polish Office of State Protection to ensure no secured information regarding the deployment would be leaked. Once each ship was fully stock and replenished, the ships would contact the harbor master to begin moving the Polish fleet outside of the harbor and into the open ocean.

The Polish ships, lead by the OKP Huragon, would proceed from Naval Station Pearl Harbor in their previously stated formation with the two Sohn Won-til-class submarines leading the flotilla from a distance of 4 miles instead and submerged to 400 feet. They would utilize all known charts and their sonar to avoid collisions with underwater obstacles, both man made and natural. The rest of the flotilla would form themselves in a single layer screen around the OKP Huragon and the OKP Baltyk and maintain a distance of one mile from each ship in the formation, where this two ships would form a line with the OKP Huragon leading the OKP Baltyk. The ships would replenish as needed from the OKP Baltyk during their transit, taking extreme caution to avoid collisions with other ships during the process.



During the transit the OKP Huragon would maintain a four helicopter squadron in the air at all times, careful to leave enough time for the armed helicopters to have enough fuel to land and allow the crew members to be fully rested and energized. The ships would maintain active sonar, surface radar, and aerial radar during the transit to provide protection for the flotilla while also allowing them to avoid collision with obstacles on the water and under the water. They would be heading towards Guam to regroup with the American Carrier Task Group and provide key support for the operations in Southeast Asia.

Upon arriving at Guam, Task Force Amber Sentinel would request docking and replenishment with the Naval base there to insure their stocks were fully replenished. They would, having probably come under communication with the US Navy and Coast Guard operating in the area, follow every order given to them by their host nation during the docking and replenishment phase of the operation. Once they had completed their replenishment and refueling, the Task Force would carefully exit the harbor under the supervision of the harbor master, and under the power of tug boats should that be required, before beginning their patrolling of the region while they awaited Carrier Strike Group One. They would patrol around Guam, maintaining one hundred kilometers from them and Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, heading towards 17.627110, 143.399390 first before heading to 17.668987, 149.463843 next.

Having been deployed to Guam and successfully refueled, replenished, and rearmed at the Naval Station located there, the Amber Sentinel Task Force would regroup with the American CSG at the rendezvous location(14.085945, 142.902376). During the brief transit time, the commander of the Polish Flotilla would maintain proper contact with the American forces to insure the safety of both groups from accidental collisions by providing precise location of each Polish vessel via encrypted communication channels. Once within range to join CSG 1 and Submarine Squadron 3, the Polish commander would inform the commander of the CSG to issue positional orders to insure safe implementation into the American fleet.

Arriving at the designated coordinates(1.99286, 105.59843) within the Riau Archipelago, the Polish task force would immediately set themselves in a protective perimeter, placing the OKP Baltyk and the OKP Huragon at the center of the formation while the Celestial-class Frigates would position themselves in a defensive screen around the two vessels. The two Sohn-Won-Yil-class submarines would remain ahead of the group and remain submerged when possible. During the duration of the operation within the Riau Archipelago, the Polish forces would routinely refuel and replenish their supplies from the replenishment vessel in a safe and coordinated manner to insure there were no accidents or damage to any vessels. During the holding patter, the ships would relay their position to their Thai counterparts(Bossza007). During the holding pattern travelling the designated coordinates(1.87409, 105.43490 > 2.03806, 105.38189 > 2.11264, 105.65300 > 1.99286, 105.59843), members of Formoza would practice alongside pilots of the OKP Huragon's airwing to better train them from landing on the airport should their assistance be needed to evacuate Polish citizens and other foreign nationals. They would also practice their first aid skills and techniques on chosen sailors and would be monitored by the shipboard doctors. Two PZL W-3Ws would remain in a holding pattern at all times, with two fully fueled ones being launched to replace the current ones when fuel hit ten percent.

Given the heightened focus on the security of the Strait of Malacca, the Republic Armed Forces Command Center promptly processed the data transmission from the Polish force, triggering significant concern. This prompted the immediate establishment of a clear and secure line of communication directly with the Polish Armed Forces Headquarters. The message conveyed:

The Republic Thai Armed Forces Headquarters formally issues a warning to the Royal Polish Armed Forces Headquarters concerning reported instances of the Royal Polish Navy has entered the Indonesian territorial waters and is now operating in the Indonesian Internal Water. It is emphasized that naval movements must adhere strictly to international maritime laws outlined in the Charter of the Global Assembly and the United Nations Law of the Sea, ensuring navigation within high seas or international waters. While committed to upholding Polish sovereignty, the Republic Armed Forces reiterate that any provocative actions, attacks, or territorial infringements within Southeast Asia are construed as direct provocations against the Republic of Thailand under national law. This snapshot provided a limited view of the SAD, censoring sensitive information. At RAAF Base Edinburgh in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, operatives of the Royal Australian Air Force No. 1 Remote Sensor Unit would be the eyes for Australia's northern approaches. The newly switched-on Jindalee Operaitonal Radar Network (JORN) would be operating 24/7 to monitor those approaches as an over-the-horizon radar and would contribute to what is known as the "Australian Recognised Air Picture" (ARAP), which incorporates numerous sensors and surveillance equipment, through 3 radar stations in Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. ARAP, with the assistance of the JORN would extend all the way beyond Australia and incorporate most of Indonesia, Singapore and some parts of Malaysia as the JORN was capable of monitoring air and sea movements up to 4,000km away depending on atmospheric conditions and solar changes (sunset, sunrise and solar disturbances hampers performance). JORN generates a new picture every 225 seconds. Whilst it does focus mainly on airspace and is operated by the Royal Australian Air Force, sea movements are still very much a part of its work and navy intelligence officers would be embedded at the control centre at RAAF Base Edinbugh and the picture would also be patched through to the Naval Intelligence Support Centre at HMAS Coonawarra in Darwin.

As sunrise began to clear and the middle of the day approached and with that, JORN's performance was extended, the Polish fleet would begin appearing on the picture as it was within 4,000km away from the Leonora transmitter in Western Australia. This would be received through the Laverton receiver in Western Australia. Different RAAF Intelligence Officers would assigned different sectors in the JORN's ionospheric map, the one assigned to Singapore, the Malacca Strait and surrounds would notice objects appearing as sea movements in a formation. They would not correspond to any commercial vessels which was an overlayed image from open-source. She would capture the image before it reset in 225 seconds.

"Can I get someone from the over here please?"

A Lieutenant Commander would walk over.

"You can see 9 vessels here in a formation-like pattern near Singapore. I believe they're in Indonesian territorial waters or very close to it." The Air Force Intelligence Officer would say.

"It does seem unusual. Send that through to Coonawarra and we will get them to analyse the picture closer."

It would be received by the Naval Intelligence Support Centre where RAN Intelligence Officers would be working. They would receive the image and begin analysing it, taking into account the shape that had been returned to the JORN. A Lieutenant and a Captain would begin talking.

"Based on this shape I'd say those are 7 Legend-class cutters from the U.S. Coast Guard, a Dokdo-class Amphibious ship and a Replenishment vessel of some type..."

"U.S. Coast Guard cutters and a Dokdo-class? That is the weirdest combination I've heard in my life. How sure are you?"

"Well there's not many vessels quite like them."

"Then I have no clue who these could belong to.... Maybe the Yanks sold them to the Koreans. I've got nothing on that sale ever happening and the Koreans are pretty public with their information. Send it up the chain anyway."

The intelligence would be provided onwards to the Navy Headquarters in Canberra. This would then be provided to the Office for National Intelligence who would provide an intelligence brief to the National Security Committee of Cabinet. The Minister for Defence would make the decision that a message needed to be transmitted to the vessels as they may identify themselves.
