Subject:Iberian Answer to Red Sea Actions
Given the escalating security concerns in the Red Sea, Portugal sees a timely opportunity for a strong, unified Iberian response to protect our shared economic and strategic interests in this vital region. As key players in maritime trade, Portugal and Spain have an undeniable stake in ensuring the stability of these waters. In light of this, I wanted to reach out to explore coordinated efforts, such as joint patrols, intelligence-sharing, and potentially forming an task force to safeguard commercial and strategic routes. A collaborative Iberian approach would signal our commitment to stability and our capacity to protect our interests abroad.
Portugal is prepared to commit naval resources and logistical support to strengthen this effort and ensure that we present a proactive, united front. If Spain has considered any specific measures or strategies, we would welcome the chance to align our actions, presenting a decisive and effective Iberian response.
