| PROJECT INFORMATION | The Honourable Company Special Economic Zones (HCSEZ) Expansion Project is a national infrastructure development initiative designed to establish five Special Economic Zones (SEZs) across the country. This project aims to attract foreign direct investment, boost manufacturing capabilities, create employment opportunities, and enhance India's position as a regional manufacturing and logistics hub. Project Objectives:
The fourth of these zones is the Dadra & Nagar Haveli Mega Industrial SEZ. It is located within the Dadra & Nagar Haveli district of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Company Territory. It will be focused on heavy manufacturing, advanced materials, automotive supply chains, electronics assembly, and export production. It will be integrated with regional highway corridors connecting to Gujarat and Maharashtra and the deepwater port of Daman. The total size of the DNHMISEZ will be roughly 24,500 hectares. These 24,500 hectares will be broken into 12,000 hectares dedicated to heavy industry and large-scale manufacturing; 4,000 hectares dedicated to logistics parks, freight terminals, and warehousing; 3,000 hectares dedicated to commercial zones, corporate officers, and R&D campuses; 3,500 hectares dedicated to worker housing and social infrastructure; and 2,000 hectares dedicated to utilities, power infrastructure, and expansion reserves. Within this zone will also be a dedicated freight rail spur connection, 400 kV dedicated power substations, a large-scale industrial water treatment and recycle system, an integrated customs and export clearance complex, and an internal highway grid designed for heavy cargo traffic. |
