PROJECTAdvanced Manufacturing Cluster II
PROJECT COST1,200,000,000.00
COMPLETION DATE05/04/2025
PROJECT INFORMATIONThe Advanced Manufacturing Cluster in Surat Thani, Roiet, Lampang, Uthaithani are meticulously planned industrial zones spanning 200 acres, dedicated to fostering innovation in manufacturing technologies. The cluster is segmented into three primary zones: 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing, Robotics and Automation, and Nanotechnology Research and Development.

The 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing zone is equipped with industrial-grade 3D printers capable of working with a wide range of materials, from polymers to metals. The facility includes pre- and post-processing units for tasks like material preparation, heat treatment, and surface finishing. A dedicated computational unit is available for CAD/CAM operations, simulation, and optimization.

The Robotics and Automation zone focuses on the development and testing of industrial robots, automated assembly lines, and machine vision systems. The area features modular assembly stations and testing bays that can be reconfigured to simulate different manufacturing environments. Advanced control systems are integrated into the machinery, allowing for real-time monitoring and adjustments to optimize performance and efficiency.

The Nanotechnology Research and Development zone is a controlled environment designed for the study and manipulation of materials at the molecular or atomic level. The facility is equipped with cleanrooms meeting ISO Class 5 standards, electron microscopes, and specialized equipment for tasks like thin-film deposition and etching.

All zones are supported by a centralized Material Testing Lab, equipped with devices for mechanical testing, spectroscopy, and thermal analysis. This ensures that all materials used or produced within the cluster meet the required quality standards.

Data management and analytics are integral to the cluster's operation. A centralized data center collects and processes data from various sensors and control systems throughout the facility. Advanced analytics software is used for tasks like predictive maintenance, process optimization, and quality control.

The cluster also includes a Business Incubation Center aimed at nurturing startups and SMEs in the advanced manufacturing sector. This center provides office spaces, shared resources, and access to the cluster's manufacturing facilities, enabling smaller companies to develop and test their technologies without the need for significant initial investment.

From a human resources perspective, the cluster employs engineers, researchers, and technicians specialized in fields like materials science, mechanical engineering, and data science. Continuous training programs are in place to keep the workforce updated on the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies.
