The Ministry of Defense of the Confederal Government welcomes each provincial federation's Head Coordinator for Defense to its headquarters. We are honored to host the inter-provincial mediation regarding the recent disagreement regarding the future of the Red Service, which has come under scrutiny. The Republic Thai Armed Forces is a unified military strength of all communes inside the Socialist Republic of Thailand. The Ministry of Defense is committed to reaffirming this inviolable truth as all provinces seek to readjust the structure of our confederation’s armed militia.
The Ministry of Defense will mediate this inter-provincial disagreement, which stemmed from calls toward downsizing of the Republic Thai Army and decommissioning of technologically outdated military equipment and naval vessels. The Federation of Workers’ Councils’ recent summit concluded in a renewed call for increased infrastructure investment spending. This agreement is a direct reason why several provincial federations have considered restructuring the Red Service as a measure to decrease the overall expenditure and increase resource allocation flexibility. Alternatively, some have opposed this suggestion and argued that external threats remain paramount.
