Ministry of Defense

The Ministry of Defense of the Confederal Government welcomes each provincial federation's Head Coordinator for Defense to its headquarters. We are honored to host the inter-provincial mediation regarding the recent disagreement regarding the future of the Red Service, which has come under scrutiny. The Republic Thai Armed Forces is a unified military strength of all communes inside the Socialist Republic of Thailand. The Ministry of Defense is committed to reaffirming this inviolable truth as all provinces seek to readjust the structure of our confederation’s armed militia.

The Ministry of Defense will mediate this inter-provincial disagreement, which stemmed from calls toward downsizing of the Republic Thai Army and decommissioning of technologically outdated military equipment and naval vessels. The Federation of Workers’ Councils’ recent summit concluded in a renewed call for increased infrastructure investment spending. This agreement is a direct reason why several provincial federations have considered restructuring the Red Service as a measure to decrease the overall expenditure and increase resource allocation flexibility. Alternatively, some have opposed this suggestion and argued that external threats remain paramount.

The Committee on the Armed Forces of the National Assembly has submitted a draft new structure of the Red Service to the Republic Thai Armed Forces Headquarters for the military’s advisory opinions. Following the successful mediation of the inter-provincial disagreement by the Ministry of Defense last week, confederal coordinators have assumed responsibility for a complete military restructuring. According to a summarized document, the proposed Red Service’s structure would cut more than 68 percent of all active servicemembers from their duties. They would enroll in vocational or academic training to contribute to building greater productive capacities toward a post-scarcity economy.

The Red Service’s spokeswoman confirmed they have received the draft document and the military leadership is reviewing it rigorously. She revealed that the Republic Army would relieve most soldiers, but the new structure would completely mechanize or motorize the remaining units, ensuring unprecedented mobility. Additionally, the Republic Air Force would face minimal changes to its inventory, other than a complete overhaul of its operational doctrine. Furthermore, the Republic Navy would scrap many outdated vessels and prepare for a more technologically integrated fleet, focusing on quality over quantity in its blue water operations. However, the Coast Guard would continue its quantitative doctrine for constant awareness.

Today, we celebrate the Supreme Confederal Agreement’s continued legitimacy that unites all 75,086 communes into a confederation of self-governing grassroots communities. On this Constitution Day, we acknowledge that our Socialist Republic is a transitional state toward communism built upon the principle of voluntary association. This foundational document guarantees our confederation’s population that they are free to live the life they want, to live without fear of want, and to pursue self-realization without being constrained by the tyranny of capital. We are reminded of the achievements brought by our late revolutionaries who valiantly fought in the 1998 Revolution. The principles of Decentralized Confederalism must continue to guide our Socialist Republic as we further transition toward a communist society.

Feminists across Thailand celebrate this year’s Constitution Day, recognizing the 2003 Constitution’s contributions to women’s liberation in our Socialist Republic. Unlike repressive capitalist societies worldwide, Thai women are not exploited through unpaid reproductive, emotional, and domestic labor. We are free to express our sexualities and exercise bodily autonomy without the uncivilized male gaze. The Supreme Confederal Agreement guarantees that no women living in Thailand would face period poverty like those poor and oppressed females under capitalism. In our confederation of free communes, women, whether cisgender or transwomen, are empowered like men, regardless of their personalities, social status, professions, or backgrounds.

The People's Solar Rooftop Initiative was a massive success for our confederation's decentralized, democratically planned socialist economy. We produced more than 8.1 million solar panels in the past fourteen months. It was a remarkable display of our productive capacity when the people collectively decided the direction of our manufacturing industry. An additional 1.45 million households now have access to renewable energy. They are self-reliant in energy production without needing to depend on state provisions. I see this as a significant milestone for the gradual hollowing out of the state functions.

The origin and result of this people-driven national project are intrinsically linked to the building of communism. Without the necessary overthrow of capitalism during the 1998 Revolution, millions of us would still not afford electricity, let alone empower ourselves to produce it. This achievement is another deliberate step as we march toward liberation, not only from the state and capital, but also from ecological destruction. We eliminate 4.65 million metric tons of CO2 emission from the atmosphere annually alone from this project completion.

The Australian Government fears the Democratic Rule of the Armed Proletariat, not for its citizens' safety and well-being.

On 22 May, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Media Centre released a pathetic statement that it would downgrade its travel advisory for Thailand from "Exercise Normal Caution" to "Do not Travel." This response is predictable and characteristic of a bourgeois state controlled by the logic of capital. The official announcement stated that our confederal government informed them of such an apparatus's lack of monopoly on violence. What a belated farce! Our deliberated deconstruction of a conventional state structure has been in place since 2003 through our Supreme Confederal Agreement.

Strikingly, no reported incident of harm done to the Australian people has occurred in the past four years. The decision to downgrade our travel advisory status stemmed directly from the expropriation and democratization of Hellfire Pass Interpretive Center by the Ban Wang Khamen Community Assembly. Moreover, Australia should have considered how generous such a commune is because it had turned a blind eye to illegal ownership of the means of production for years. The people of Ban Wang Khamen have all the rights to enforce this confederation's constitutional principles.

However, when met with the fact that they have been illegally owning a cultural, educational, and historical productive asset, the Australian Government blatantly uses its class insecurity as a justification to damage our bilateral relationship. It is a reactive response to a situation that threatens capitalism's insistence on the anti-democratic workplace and the exploitation of wage slavers. If Australia truly cares about its citizens in Thailand, its government would have taken the same action four years ago!

This confederal government does not concern itself with a capitalist state that our provincial federations do not find beneficial to cooperate with. Thailand and Australia have a few active bilateral agreements contributing to our people's well-being. However, because of its bourgeois character, the Australian government cannot comprehend that the population of other nations, founded on human liberation, has laws and norms that are antithetical to its elitist sensibility! I wish those politicians owned by capitalist logic would understand that their times are numbered. No central government that has a monopoly on violence is legitimate. The people of this planet have all the rights and intelligence to self-govern their societies.
