To: <Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan> Grant From: <Sarabun@mfa.mail.go.th> Subject: Request of Intelligence on Al-Qaeda Security Type: NSST 1.0 Architecture | Secret and Encrypted |
To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan,
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Thailand extends its warmest regards to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. It is an honor to formally communicate Thailand’s request for intelligence pertaining to the organized Islamic terrorist group known as Al-Qaeda.
In reference to the recent official statement issued by the Thai Government, titled “Thailand Declares Solidarity War on Al-Qaeda,” we express our unequivocal condemnation of the heinous acts of terrorism perpetrated by this extremist organization. The severity of these attacks and their flagrant disregard for human dignity have galvanized the Thai people, who have democratically affirmed their commitment to eradicating Al-Qaeda and dismantling all mechanisms supporting its operations.
At present, the Republic Armed Forces of Thailand, known as the Red Service, are preparing to undertake a global campaign to neutralize Al-Qaeda and its affiliates. This initiative will target all levels of the organization, ensuring the complete dismantling of its network. Having once endured the devastating impact of terrorist bombings in Bangkok, which claimed many innocent lives, Thailand stands morally obligated to prevent such atrocities from recurring—whether within our borders or abroad. While Thailand has thus far maintained its security against further attacks, the recent suicide bombing in London serves as a stark reminder of the ever-present threat posed by extremist violence.
In light of these circumstances, the Socialist Republic of Thailand respectfully requests any intelligence or information regarding Al-Qaeda that the Government of Afghanistan may possess. To facilitate this cooperation, Thailand stands ready to offer substantial economic and technological benefits, ensuring that this partnership yields tangible advantages for the Afghan people.
We eagerly await your favorable and swift response and remain committed to fostering a collaborative relationship for the betterment of international peace and security.
Sincerely,
Sukhumbhand Paribatra
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
Republic of Thailand
