To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India,
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Thailand, representing 75,086 free communes, extends its warm regards to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Indian Socialist Republic. We are eager to establish solidarity between our nations, committed to socialist values: democracy, equality, and freedom.
Since the end of the Cold War, the United States' Central Intelligence Agency has been successful in painting state capitalist regimes such as the Soviet Union, North Korea, and Cuba as representing our socialist values, associating them with authoritarianism and regression. However, as socialist countries, Thailand and India understand that socialism is the highest form of democracy that substantially respects human rights and upholds human dignity. It is our great joy to witness another population choosing the path toward liberation.
Today, Thailand stands as the most democratic and freedom-respecting nation on Earth. This achievement stemmed not from some capitalistic propaganda but from the power of the people to self-govern themselves. We see India as a fellow traveler who wants to put its citizens at the helm of political, economic, and cultural decisions. However, Thailand also recognizes the vicious forces of capitalism that will actively seek to tear us apart by playing us against one another.
Therefore, Thailand proposes that India host a bilateral summit between our high-ranking diplomats to discuss the nature of our relationship. We will dispatch a delegation led by the Director-General of Asian Affairs to New Delhi as part of this critical dialogue. As socialist countries, Thailand hopes India will reciprocate our gesture as a show of international solidarity. We keenly look forward to your positive response.
