Dear Ambassador Moon,

I can confirm authority to utilise Diego Garcia as an operations point for the following assets:

x1 KC-135R
x3 Flight Crew (x2 pilots, x1 navigator)
x3 Reserve Crew (x2 pilots, x1 navigator)
x32 Airmen (ground forces for security)

x2 U-2S
x1 pilot each

A time slot has been entered for the duration of June 2002, any assets listed will need to have finished operations from Diego Garcia within this time period.

We would appreciate any updates on your operation, specifically when your units have arrived, started the operation and ended. We have Royal Air Force Personnel on station at all time to support you and accommodation will be provided.

Ambassadors Cooper and Lindgren,

The United States, British, and Polish embassies have been bombed in Bangkok, Thailand. The Federal Government does not have reliable intelligence as to who is responsible or if the Thai government was complacent in the attack. Ambassador Lindgren, the State Department has directed Americans who need emergency embassy protection to head to the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok as a result of what has happened. I apologize that the State Department was not able to give your government more notice before this announcement was made, we hope that this has not caused too much inconvenience.

Secretary Fitzgerald has issued a "Do Not Travel" order for Thailand and has requested that all American citizens return to the United States. I recommend that your governments consider similar actions.​

Ambassadors Cooper and Lindgren,

In accordance with our commitment to mutual defense, I felt it would be important to share with you some pressing current (domestic) events in the United States. I regret to inform you that President Gore was seriously injured at a shooting in Washington D.C. The President is currently receiving emergency surgery and is incapacitated. In accordance with the United States Constitution, Vice President Sinclair has been sworn in as Acting President and, as of now, has full authority as commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the United States.

Unrelated to the shooting of President Gore, there is coincidently major civil disturbance in Washington D.C. due to a controversial bill that is under consideration in the United States Congress. Vice President Sinclair is currently dealing with this exceptional civil disruption in the wake of the attempted assassination of President Gore. At this time, the FBI and CIA have no reason to believe that these events occurred as the result of foreign actors.​
